Rachel Booth, a mother of three, was reported missing after she was last seen by her family in the early hours of Saturday morning in the Barnton area of Northwich. She then vanished without a trace and based on a CCTV footage, prior to her disappearance, she was at Sandiway Garage on the A556 at 3.50am, buying wine and milk following a 45-minute run.
One of the workers at the store who talked to the police said, “I spoke to my colleague who had served her on Saturday morning. She bought milk and wine and jogged from 45 minutes away.” he added, “But it didn’t seem weird, she didn’t seem disturbed or flustered.”
Unfortunately, after a day-long search by Cheshire Police, Rachel was found dead.
Her body was recovered from a lake in Oakmere on Monday.
Rachel was described by her family as a “guiding light.”

Friends and family set up a GoFundMe to help her husband and three sons during their time of grief. The fundraiser read, “Rachel tragically leaves behind her loving husband, Carl, and their three beloved sons. In this time of deep sorrow, we are reaching out to ask for your support in helping her family.
“Any funds will be placed into a trust fund for her three young boys. In addition, the family has expressed their wish to donate a portion of the proceeds to a charity close to their hearts — one that supports individuals and families affected by ADHD.
“Your generosity, no matter how big or small, will make a lasting difference and is deeply appreciated. Thank you for helping us give Rachel the beautiful farewell she deserves and for supporting her family during this heartbreaking time.”

The police believes there are not any suspicious circumstances regarding Rachel’s tragic death, and a file is being prepared for the coroner.
“Rachel’s family continue to be supported by specialist officers from Cheshire Police and they ask for their privacy to be respected at this difficult time,” Cheshire Police said.
Her family paid tribute to Rachel via a statement shared by the police. “Rachel, who was known to us as Helena, was a cherished member of our family.
“She was a guiding light whose strength, love and devotion touched us all.”

“Her kindness was constant and her presence a strength to everyone she knew, a loving mother, wife, daughter and sister who can never be replaced but always present in our hearts.
“Her absence leaves a space, but her smiles are a memory we will treasure for ever.”
