The secret of the mirror image: Long lost brothers

That evening, Phillip Granger was having dinner with his wife Mara at a fancy restaurant.

Mara had just sealed a deal, and they were out to celebrate her success.

Their lives were calm. They never argued or got mad at one another. The truth was that their marriage was a picture perfect one. Phillip loved Mara unconditionally, and she loved him back just equally.

As they enjoyed the quiet night, a woman, who seemed disturbed, approached them and threw her glass of wine on Phillip, yelling, “So you had work tonight? An emergency operation, huh? TRAITOR! It’s all over between us!”

He was shocked. He had never seen that woman before.

However, before he could even say anything, the woman fled the restaurant.

“Honey, I don’t know who she is,” he turned to his wife, still in total confusion of the incident.

Mara didn’t say a word. She stood up and ran towards the woman.

“Wait!” she yelled.

The woman asked, “Are you his girlfriend?” to what Mara replied, “No, I’m his wife, and I want to know how you know my husband.”

The woman replied: “He’s married!? I swear this is the last time I’m going out with a doctor! To hell with you, Ralf!”

“Ralf?” Mara asked, confused. “But my husband’s name is Phillip, and he’s not a doctor.”

The woman couldn’t believe Mara was telling the truth. “But he looks so much like Ralf, I can swear he’s the same person.”

Before catching a taxi, embarrassed by the incident she had made, the woman handed Mara a piece of paper with Ralf’s number written on it. “Call this man, it’s insane how much he looks like your husband.”

Mara’s heart started racing. She knew Phillip was adopted, so could this Ralf guy be his brother?

A few days later, Phillip gathered the courage to call the number. He explained how he got the number and wanted to know more about Ralf.

What Ralf had to say changed Phillip’s life forever. He was also adopted, and they were born on the same day, at the same hospital.

The two arranged to meet. Looking at Ralf, it felt like Philip was looking in the mirror. The resemblance was incredible, almost insanely uncanny.

There was no need for a DNA test for these two men to know they were long lost brothers.

But there was more to the story. Ralf said that he knew he had a sibling, but not one. It turned out their mother gave birth to five children, but the quintuplets were separated at birth and given up for adoption. Until that moment, Ralf tried to find them though hospital records, but to no avail.

And then, they came up with a plan.

The two brothers took a selfie and shared it on the social media along with their story.

Miraculously, their plea to find the rest of their siblings went viral. It didn’t take long before they were reunited with the rest of their brothers, one of which was living with their birth mother.

When their mom gave birth, her family forced her to give her children up for adoption, and only keep one.

It is incredible how a simple misunderstanding during a quiet night at a restaurant could lead to an incredible revelation that changed the lives of so many people.
