Family relationships are supposed to be build on trust, love, and mutual support. However, when a family member betrays that trust, it feels like a profound violation. The pain is triggered not only from the betrayal itself, but from the shattering of the fundamental sense of security and belonging that family is supposed to provide. Often, it takes a lot of time to heal from such a betrayal because it requires a lot of strength.
The following story comes from a woman named Josie. She found herself betrayed and hurt by what her son did so she took to Reddit to ask fellow netizens about what her next move should be.

Josie started her story explaining that she lived in a rather big home, with three bedrooms. She lived all by herself, so when her son told her he was going to marry his girlfriend of many years, Josie felt it would be right for her to give her house to him and his wife while she moved to a smaller place.
She spoke to her son and he was extremely delighted by his mom’s generous offer which he accepted right away. Josie eventually relocated with her widowed sister.
However, shortly after Josie moved places, she was told that her daughter-in-law’s mother will move in with her son and his wife. When her son told her that, Josie said, “I didn’t leave my home to have her live with you.”

Her daughter-in-law then said, “We lied about starting a family right away. We are not ready yet; we’re too young.” She added, “But my mom is alone. We have a big house now, so she will come live with us.”
Josie was furious and explained that she didn’t do the arrangement so that they invite other people living with them and reminded them that it was technically still her house.
To this, her son said, “My MIL is much more in need of us than you are. She’s my family too now and I have to take care of her.”

Six-year-old Lucy Morgan lost her life in a freak accident when a racket broke during a downward swing, and a piece of metal from the handle snapped off and pierced her skull. Sadly, she suffered severe injuries.
At the time of the tragedy, the family was on vacation in Limerick, Maine.
Lucy’s heartbroken father, Pastor Jesse Morgan, wrote on his blog that when the metal piece struck his daughter, she was unresponsive but was still breathing on her own. She was quickly taken to the nearest hospital from where she was airlifted to Maine Medical Center in Portland.

“Upon arrival she went right to the operating room where they removed part of her skull to relieve pressure and deal with her injury. She coded, they got her back, and they completed the surgery,” Jesse wrote on his blog. “In the PICU we are being told that there is a very slim chance she recovers.”
Jesse also wrote that young Lucy spoke of meeting God just a month before the accident that claimed her life. She asked her mom about being saved, and after a short conversation, she went to her room to pray.
“She went to her room and prayed to God to forgive her and that she believed in Jesus’ death and resurrection. What a gift,” he wrote.
Jesse provided updates on Lucy’s condition.
“The significant lack of brain function over the past 48 hours demonstrates this reality that we are utterly devastated by. If there is any good news in this, it’s that she hasn’t felt any pain over the past few days.
“We will keep waiting on the Lord, getting second opinions, and exhausting every possible avenue while crying out to God for a miracle,” he added. “However, as of now, our beloved daughter has been showing all the signs of brain death for the past few days. There is a very good chance that she passes away and meets Jesus within 24 hours.”
Medical personnel made every effort to save Lucy, but her injuries were too extensive.

To help the family, loved ones set up a GoFundMe account that has exceeded its initial target of $100,000 and is now approaching a new target of $150,000, with over $140,000 raised so far.
Organizer Jill Anthony wrote, “This page serves as a place to provide them extravagant financial support – to help pay for meals while they are away from home, lodging for family, medical costs … whatever they need.”
Anthony added an update: “June 5, Lucy went to be with the Lord. Please keep praying for the Morgans as they walk through these next days, weeks, months, and years without their sweet Lucy here with them.”
We are so very sorry for this family’s loss. May she rest in peace.

Kate Middleton has been going through a rough time since her cancer diagnosis but she’s not alone in her battle with the disease. Her children, as well as her husband, are with her every step of the way.
Kate and William’s love story dates back to their college days.
Throughout the years, as any other couple out there, they had their ups and downs.
Speaking of the time the two met for the first time through mutual friends, Kate recalled: “I actually went bright red when I met you and scuttled off feeling very shy about meeting you.

According to the documentary The Day Will and Kate Got Married which aired in April 2021, the two were just good friends at the beginning but one night changed it all. During a student fashion show, Kate wore a sheer dress that wooed the Prince, and the rest is history.

While the future king did face a dose of criticism for some of his actions following his wife’s cancer diagnosis, Bond asserts that it boils down to his unwavering dedication to Kate.
“It’s a great accolade to a person to have your partner who has such a public role but any partner just say ‘OK, I don’t care what people say, you are my priority,” she concluded. “William has made it absolutely clear that Kate and the children are his number one priority and nothing is going to move him away from that path.”
A source close to William shared with the Sunday Timesin mid-March that he’s dedicated to protecting his children as their mom’s health is discussed in the media.
“All he wants to do is protect his wife and children. The family just want to go away for Easter, spend time together, the five of them, close off from the world and move on.”

He is sensitive, he likes structure and has perseverance. He does not give up easily. His relationship with brother Harry upset him more than he would care to admit. On the third night of her Eras Tour concert, Swift encountered a minor wardrobe mishap during her onstage performance. The unexpected incident occurred as she was preparing to sit at her piano and perform for the large audience. Managing the situation gracefully, the Shake It Off artist promptly adjusted her outfit and proceeded to deliver a heartfelt and intimate rendition of her song How Did It End?
However, as her dress opened, it revealed the gold bralette and sparkly black shorts combo she had on underneath. Although she handled the issue like a pro, many people who saw the video of the dress mishap shared by a concertgoer were quick to express disdain and undermine the Bad Blood singer.
Her shorts look like a diaper. So unflattering,” someone wrote on Facebook.
“Those look like granny panties…..look good on her 😂,” another person commented on Instagram.
There were also those who speculated Swift could be pregnant. “Hmm..🤔 looking kind of round on the lower abdomen. Is she trying to tell us something?” they wrote.
“It looks intentional,” a fourth said of the dress slip.
Harshly, a fifth commenter wrote, “Well she is used to taking her clothes off soo.”
A sixth added: “She’s a hot mess [and] has been!”
Despite the criticism the singer faced for the incident, her devoted Swifties rushed to her defense. “It happens! She handled it with grace ♥️ 👏 👏,” commended a fan. Another admirer praised, “whatever she was wearing under it was nice too.”
No matter the dress incident, Swift’s concert were a huge success. “Stockholm!!!! Thank you for being the most generous, excitable, magical crowds, and for breaking the all time attendance record for the stadium all 3 nights,” Swift wrote on Instagram after the show. “Can’t believe this was our first time playing in Sweden – but it won’t be our last…”

A woman took to the Reddit‘s thread ‘Am I The A*****e’ to share how her relationship dynamics has been affected after she inherited a generous sum of money from her grandma.
The woman, 32, explained that she and her boyfriend, 35, got engaged recently after five years of dating and set their wedding date for May 25.

Shortly after the engagement, the woman’s grandma died and left her a huge sum of money. Her grandma and grandpa had been very successful and had high paying jobs most their lives, and they wanted OP (original poster) to inherit everything they had saved throughout the years.
Naturally, OP shared the news with her soon-to-be husband.
“When I heard the news, I told my fiancé and he was incredibly overjoyed, much more than I expected him to be. I went along with it and shrugged it off until later in the day I heard him on the game with his mates saying ‘I can pay my credit card off with that money mate! We can finally get that boys holiday we’ve been planning, ay?’ and laughing,” she explained in her post.
“I walked into the room and asked ‘What money?’ and he immediately looked at me funny and said ‘From your nan, babe.’”
At an instant, she made sure he wasn’t spending any money without her permission and that she would definitely not be spending any of her inheritance on a boys’ holiday.
“‘It’s not your money to have, it’s written to me from MY nanna, it’s not for you,’” she went on to say.

OP then left the room, visibly upset. Once he finished his game, her fiancé started yelling at her. “We are getting married, you will become my financial BURDEN. Any money you take in is mine also. It was incredibly selfish of you to make such a fool out of me in front of my friends and giving them false hope of a holiday.”
OP wasn’t willing to argue any further and decided to go to her friend’s place without saying a word. She, however, wasn’t certain if she did the right thing and turned to the Reddit community for advice.
As expected, she received an outpouring of empathy from fellow netizens.

Kayla Unbehaun, 15, was just 9 years old when she went missing in 2017 while in the care of her non-custodial mother, Heather Unbehaun.
Kayla’s father, Ryan Iserka, told CNN affiliate WBBM that he was granted full custody of his daughter in early 2017, with Unbehaun allowed supervised visits. However, when he went to pick up his daughter on July 5, he realized that she and her mother had not returned from a camping trip, WBBM reported the following year.

A non-profit center, which aids families in finding American children abducted by relatives or strangers or who run away, noted that a felony warrant for kidnapping was issued for Unbehaun on July 28, 2017. As per the organization, the number of reports of missing children filed with the FBI in 2022, with possible duplicates, was nearly 360,000.
Since Kayla went missing, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children shared an image online of her from the time she was nine as well as an age-progression photo. Every now and then, the media published articles about Kayla in hopes of finding her.
Among the rest, she was featured in Netflix’s reboot of Unsolved Mysteries, and it was this series that led to her rescue.
After watching a recent episode of the series, a store owner recognized Kayla and contacted the police. She and her mother were arrested, and Kayla, now 15, was taken into protective custody.
Iserka connected with his daughter in North Carolina on Sunday, and they drove back to Illinois together, said John Vojta, an attorney for Kayla’s custodial father.
“I’m overjoyed that Kayla is home safe. I want to thank the South Elgin Police Department, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and all of the law enforcement agencies who assisted with her case. I also want to thank all of the followers on the “Bring Kayla Home” Facebook page, who helped keep her story alive and were instrumental in spreading awareness. We ask for privacy as we get to know each other again and navigate this new beginning,” Kayla’s father said in a statement.
Unbehaun faces a charge of child abduction, which is a Class 4 felony. She is currently being held on a $250,000 bond and is awaiting extradition to Illinois.

The rumors surrounding the separation of Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are spreading like wildfire. Their potential divorce has been making headlines for the last couple of months, and fans can’t help but wonder if Bennifer will become a thing of the past.
The couple broke off their engagement back in 2004 before deciding to revive their romance years later. “We don’t want to get dragged into quicksand. Everybody wants a war. It’s not happening from our side,” Affleck’s representative said at the time.
Neither Lopez nor Affleck have confirmed or denied any of the rumors, but according to reports, they no longer share a home. However, they have been seen together during numerous occasions, especially those related to their children whom they both support.

Daily Mail on the other hand writes that Lopez is going to great lengths to save her marriage.
“She wants this marriage to work so much that she is willing to make any sacrifice including giving up being J.Lo. She doesn’t want to be divorced,” a source said.
However, in the event that she cannot reignite the spark with the Gone Girl star, she’ll be prepared to dominate the market of single women.
According to another source, Lopez is “hell-bent on exacting revenge” and “going turbo on the fitness and beauty regime.”
Lopez is known for her strict diets and exercise routines, but when it comes to Affleck, she eats junk food, which he really loves, with him.
“She ate junk food with him just to show she could be the gal he wanted,” the source said. “Ben always criticized her for her over-the-top workout routine, so she slowed down on that too and ended up really resenting him for it.
“So, now she’s up every morning doing lunges and squats, sweating her butt off at the gym. She’s going to use this summer to get in the best shape of her life with a hyper diet of lean protein and salads and no junk whatsoever.”
The source added that Lopez is even considering cosmetic procedures. “The idea of being back on the dating scene at her age has got her pretty freaked out. There’s so much that docs can do these days, so why not get some help? She wants to look better than ever so Ben sees what he’s missing.”
As of Affleck, many, among which aesthetic and regenerative specialist Dr. Robert Dorfman, say he looks stressed. “He looks gaunt and has visibly aged. He’s going through a rough time right now and looks very stressed.” Dorfman, who has never treated the Justice League star continued, “I think we’ve all been there at some point in our lives. Ben Affleck kind of let himself go.”
He says the actor needs to “get back into his normal routine.”
What future holds for Lopez and Affleck seems to be uncertain at this point. We hope they would be able to set their differences aside.
