The news of the passing of Lisa Marie Presley left many in devastation.
Lisa Marie was the only daughter of “The King of Rock and Roll,” Elvis Presley. She was also a mother of four children from two marriages, daughters Riley, Harper, and Finley, and son Benjamin, who died of suicide in 2020. Lisa Marie was never able to fully accept the loss of her son, who she said was very similar to his late grandfather, Elvis.
The singer-songwriter died Thursday after she was hospitalized for cardiac arrest. Paramedics were called at her Calabasas home. At the time they arrived, someone had already administered epinephrine at the scene at least one time and her ex-husband Danny Keough performed CPR. Lisa Marie was rushed to the hospital where she was put in an induced coma. Sadly, she didn’t make it and the world lost a beautiful soul.
According to reports, Lisa Marie suffered cardiac arrest.
It was her mother, Priscilla Presley, who shared the tragic news of her daughter’s sudden passing, “It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us,” she said in a statement Thursday evening. “She was the most passionate, strong and loving woman I have ever known.
“We humbly request privacy as we attempt to come to terms with this enormous loss.”
Among those who paid tribute to the King’s daughter was actor John Travolta. He took to Instagram to share his condolences and remind everyone just how much Lisa Marie would be missed.
“Lisa, baby girl, I’m sorry. I’ll miss you, but I’m confident we’ll cross paths again. During this difficult moment, my thoughts and prayers are with Riley, Priscilla, Harper, and Finley,” the actor wrote.
Lisa Marie released her first album, To Whom it May Concern, in 2003 and other albums and songs followed.
She was married four times.

Two days before her tragic passing, singer-songwriter and the only daughter of the “King of Rock and Roll,” Elvis Presley, Lisa Marie Presley, attended the Golden Globe event together with her mother to support actor Austin Butler who portrayed her father.
Lisa Marie was just nine years old when her famous father died and she always spoke of him dearly and made sure his legacy stayed alive.
The biopic portraying of the life of Elvis Presley took place in 2022 and both Lisa Marie and Priscilla Presley were happy with the accuracy of the events depicted in it. They were also very satisfied with Butler’s portrayal, describing it as “truly mind-blowing.” Lisa Marie had nothing but words of praise for the actor.
However, it wasn’t just Elvis’ family who admired Butler’s work. The critics praised him as well and he was nominated for his first-ever Golden Globe.
At the event, Butler was accompanied by his sister who shared how proud she was with her brother’s success.
“I am so amazingly proud. I can hardly even express it in words,” Butler’s sister Ashley said. “I’m happy that you are just as protective over him as I am because I see him as a little 12-year-old boy that I need to protect, too.”
As she was speaking, Lisa Marie appeared in the background and could be heard saying jokingly, “What? Did I photobomb you?”
Speaking of Baz Luhrmann’s biopic about her father, Lisa Marie got emotional and said, “I really didn’t know what to do with myself after I saw it. I had to take, like, five days to process it because it was so incredible and so spot on and just so authentic that, yeah, I can’t even describe what it meant.”
Looking classy, Lisa Marie was there to cheer for Butler because the film meant so much to her and touched her to the core.
“I’m so excited,” she said about the nominations for the movie at the award show and added how she hopes Butler wins.

When they left their lives as working royals behind, Harry and Meghan claimed that one of the reasons for their departure from the Firm was their desire to raise their children away from the public eye. Yet, they haven’t stopped being under the spotlight thanks to the interviews they are providing to the media, Meghan’s podcast, the number of contracts they signed with Spotify and Netflix, and most recently, the publishing of Harry’s memoir, Spare.
As expected, the long-awaited book revealed what most people hoped to take a glance at, the controversies that had been kept under wraps by the members of the British royalty.
Random House, the publishing house behind Harry’s book, for which the Prince was paid $20 million according to the media, dubbed the book as an “honest and captivating personal portrait.”
In their initial press release, they said, “Prince Harry will share, for the very first time, the definitive account of the experiences, adventures, losses, and life lessons that have helped shape him.”
#Spare “is both heartfelt and convincing” & “provides the historic context for all his feelings. He feels he grew up in a closed & dysfunctional institution which he holds at least partly responsible for the death of his mother. It’s very hard to disagree he has a case.” (Times) pic.twitter.com/obslLaER06
One NY publishing source told Page Six, “It’s juicy, that’s for sure,” while another publishing insider added, “There’s a lot of new stories in there about the past that Harry has not spoken about before, about his childhood … there is some content in there that should make his family nervous.”
And so it happened. Harry did share many secrets and things he had never discussed before.
One of the most explosive claims revealed in Spare, whose title allegedly comes from Harry’s “spare” role as the second son of the King or the fact that he has been “spared” from his family, is the heated argument between the brothers over Meghan Markle.
According to Harry, his brother reportedly labeled Meghan “difficult,” “rude,” and “abrasive.”
Harry explained how William went to Nottingham Cottage, then Harry and Meghan’s home on Kensington Palace grounds in London, in order to discuss “‘the whole rolling catastrophe’ of their relationship and struggles with the press.”
However, the conversation turned into a heated argument.
In order to calm things down, Harry handed over a glass of water to his brother.
“He set down the water, called me another name, then came at me. It all happened so fast. So very fast. He grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and he knocked me to the floor. I landed on the dog’s bowl, which cracked under my back, the pieces cutting into me. I lay there for a moment, dazed, then got to my feet and told him to get out.”
Allegedly, William then urged Harry to strike back but Harry refused to do so.
“What was different here was the level of frustration, and I talk about the red mist that I had for so many years, and I saw this red mist in him,” Harry wrote.
“He wanted me to hit him back, but I chose not to.”
We are yet to see whether William would comment on the matter.

The much-awaited memoir Spare in which Prince Harry opens up about his life is finally here and it is breaking records.
According to the publisher, Penguin Random House, around 400,000 copies, in a form of hard-copies, e-books, and audio formats were sold on the first day of the release. What’s most, it already topped the list of top-selling publication on the UK Amazon site and is expected to be the greatest seller of 2023.
“We always knew this book would fly, but it is exceeding even our most bullish expectations,” Larry Finlay, managing director of Transworld Penguin Random House, said.
“As far as we know, the only books to have sold more in their first day are those starring the other Harry (Potter).”
Before it was released, there were many speculations regarding the things the Prince would reveal, and it doesn’t come as a surprise that the wide public is in anticipation of learning secrets and details about the most famous family there is.
In the book, Harry offers a brand new side of the feelings about the life he left behind, that of a royal. He also wrote of the new life with his wife and children, and as expected, he wrote extensively about the person that means the world to him, his late mother, Princess Diana. Her death shook Harry’s world and it seems like he can never get over the pain and the fact that it was partially the media that forced his mother into her death.
In the past, Harry spoke of his mother very often. In the HBO documentary Diana, Our Mother: Her Life and Legacy, he recalled the last phone call he ever had with his mother, on the same day she tragically passed away.
“I can’t really necessarily remember what I said, but all I do remember is probably regretting for the rest of my life, how short that call was,” Harry said.
“If I’d known that that was the last time I was going to speak to my mother the things that I would – the things I would have said to her.
“There’s not a day that William and I don’t wish that she was still around, and we wonder what kind of a mother she would be now, and what kind of a public role she would have, and what a difference she would be making.”
Now, in his memoir, Harry opened up about his mother’s butler, Paul Burrell, who later became her best friend.
Following her tragic death, Burrell often spoke of his relationship with the late Princess and even offered some of her letters to the public, something Harry found inappropriate. The Duke of Sussex even accused Burrell of “milking” money out of his mother’s death.
In 2003, Burrell published a book, A Royal Duty, which included private revelations. As expected, this left the brothers furious. Back then, they shared a statement in which they accused their mother’s butler of “a cold and overt betrayal.”
He, on the other hand, believed they should meet with him in order to learn more of their mother’s life and the side of her they didn’t witness.
“I’d love to give them a piece of my mind,” Burrell said.
“He wanted to give us a piece of his mind?” Harry said.
“I didn’t know why, I presume the Palace quashed it. I told myself: Shame, I thought of that man as the one errant steer that got away that summer.”
Further, Harry said of Burrell, “Mummy’s former butler had penned a tell-all which actually told nothing. It was merely one man’s self-justifying, self-centering version of events. My mother once called this butler a dear friend and trusted him implicitly. We did too. Now this,” and added, “He was milking her disappearance for money. It made my blood boil.”
Now that he felt attacked by the things Harry wrote in the memoir, Burrell answered back. In a video, the former butler said that Harry has “changed fundamentally” and that his mother would be “appalled.”
“I first met him in his mummy’s tummy. I don’t recognize the young man I see today. That’s not the boy I knew,” Burrell said.
“What I see now is an angry, petulant, privileged prince who is constantly blaming other people and not taking accountability on his part.
“[Diana] would be angry at these personal, vindictive revelations which don’t just undermine Harry, but his country, his family, the institution – which his mother was very proud of – and his late grandmother’s legacy.”
Not long ago, Burrell spoke of Harry and Meghan’s marriage and said the two get along well because Meghan is very similar to Princess Diana. “Harry went for and married Meghan because she’s like Diana. [They are] both women who would always stand up for what they believe in and wouldn’t be pushovers,” he said.
However, according to him, it doesn’t mean that Meghan and Diana would be best of friends in any way.
“I imagine it would have been two strong, independent women with different views on things—it would have been a battle between Meghan’s way and Diana’s way.
“I think the main difference between them is that Meghan has a game plan, whereas Diana was young and naïve,” Burrell added.
In Spare, Harry also wrote of the moment his father shared with him that Princess Diana had been involved in a car crash.
He recalled his dad approaching him and saying, “Darling boy, Mummy’s been in a car crash.
“There were complications. Mummy was quite badly injured and taken to hospital, darling boy,” Harry revealed. “He always called me ‘darling boy,’ but he was saying it quite a lot now. His voice was soft. He was in shock, it seemed.
“With a head injury. They tried, darling boy. I’m afraid she didn’t make it.”
He then wrote how now King Charles put his hand on his knee but he didn’t hug him.
It has been reported that Harry netted $20 million for his book deal.

After reports that Lisa Marie Presley was hospitalized and fighting for her life after suffering cardiac arrest, her mother Priscilla Presley shared the devastating news of her daughter’s tragic passing.
“It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us,” Priscilla Presley said in a statement Thursday evening. “She was the most passionate, strong and loving woman I have ever known.”
The news of Lisa Marie’s hospitalization was initially shared by TMZ. They wrote that the only child of Priscilla Presley and the late “King of Rock and Roll” was transferred to the ICU unit in a critical condition Thursday morning. Allegedly, she was put in an induced coma and on life support with a temporary pacemaker.
A spokesperson of the LA county sheriff said that emergency responders were dispatched to Lisa Marie’s Calabasas home at around 10:40 a.m. local time. They were able to regain her pulse before rushing her to the hospital.
According to TMZ, Lisa Marie’s ex-husband, Danny Keough, went inside her home after dropping the kids off at school at the moment the housekeeper made the discovery. He performed CPR while waiting for the ambulance to arrive and reports are that the late singer was administered epinephrine at the scene at least one time.
On Tuesday, just two days before her passing, Lisa Marie and her mother attended the Golden Globes to support Baz Luhrmann’s acclaimed biopic Elvis.
Speaking of Austin Butler’s performance, Lisa Marie described it as “mind-blowing.”
“I really didn’t know what to do with myself after I saw it,” she told ET of the movie. “I had to take, like, five days to process it because it was so incredible and so spot on and just so authentic that, yeah, I can’t even describe what it meant.”
At the time of her passing, Lisa Marie Presley was 54.
The late singer’s son, Benjamin Keough, died two years ago. His tragic passing was ruled suicide as the Los Angeles County Dept. of Medical Examiner-Coroner’s office confirmed that an autopsy revealed an intraoral shotgun wound.
Following the news of his death, a representative of Lisa Marie said in a statement for E!, “She is completely heartbroken, inconsolable and beyond devastated but trying to stay strong for her 11-year-old twins and her oldest daughter Riley [Keough]. She adored that boy. He was the love of her life.”
Our thoughts and prayers are with Lisa Marie Presley’s family. May she rest in peace.

On November 13, 2022, the news of the killing of four young people rocked the small town of Moscow, Idaho.
Ethan Chapin, 20; Madison Mogen, 21; Xana Kernodle, 20; and Kaylee Goncalves, 21, all students, were stubbed to death.
Mogen, Kernodle and Goncalves were roommates who shared a six-bedroom home outside of campus together with two other girls. Chapin, who dated Kernodle, was staying the night.
Earlier that day, Goncalves posted a series of photos showing her and the rest of her friends who got murdered later in the night with the caption, “One lucky girl to be surrounded by these pple everyday.”
Evidence showed that the victims fought back. According to Fox News, Xana Kernodle’s father, Jeff Kernodle, said that the bruises found on his daughter’s body indicate that she put up a fight with her killer. “She’s a tough kid. Whatever she wanted to do, she could do it,” he said of his late daughter.
Jeff also explained that the door to his daughter’s home locked with a number code. “Every time you go, you have to go around the house because of the number code so they either knew that or went around and maybe found the slider door open.”
The police revealed there were no signs of forced entry. The reasons behind the cruel killing remains a mystery.
According to reports, one of the surviving roommates was on the second floor and noticed the suspected killer. She shared with the police that she opened her door “after she heard the crying and saw a figure clad in black clothing and a mask that covered the person’s mouth and nose walking towards her.”
Nearly seven weeks after the four students lost their lives, police finally arrested a suspect, more than 2,500 miles away in eastern Pennsylvania.
On December 30, 2022, 28-year-old Bryan Christopher Kohberger was arrested and charged with four counts of first-degree murder and felony burglary.
Kohberger has been a PhD student at Washington State University in Pullman, Washington. He was pursuing criminology, and according to one of his friends, he had been researching the mindsets of criminals and was studying under a Pennsylvania professional on criminals and serial killers.
What’s most, two weeks prior to committing the gruesome murders, Kohberger was engaged in a class discussion about “forensics, D.N.A, and other evidence prosecutors use to win convictions.”
The suspect’s parents and sister “promote Bryan’s presumption of innocence rather than judge unknown facts and make erroneous assumptions” while cooperating with the authorities.
Further, they want to “let the legal process unfold and as a family, we will love and support our son and brother.”
The suspect’s family also offered their condolences to the victims’ families.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the grieving families.

The TLC show Little People, Big World aired some 15 years ago and it influenced many to reconsider the way they see and treat people with dwarfism. The stars of the reality, the Roloff family, helped raise awareness about the people with their condition, and thanks to them, many stereotypes surrounding those with achondroplasia, a genetic disorder whose primary feature is dwarfism, are now challenged a great deal.
Amy and Matt Roloff are parents of four. Their son Zach has dwarfism just like his parents, while the rest of the children, Jeremy, Molly, and Jacob, are of average height.
Since the first episode, which aired back in 2006, a lot has changed in the lives of the Roloffs. Fans watched as the children grew up, went to college, and started their own lives. Except for Zach, they all decided to leave the show behind and move on.
Amy graduated from Franklin High School in 1980 and went on to earn a business degree from Central Michigan University. While growing up, students used to tease her for her height, but her parents taught her to be self-confident and not to let the words of others affect her in any way. As a young woman, she became part of the organization LPA (Little People of America), which provides support and information to people of short stature and their families. It was during one event organized by LPA that she met Matt who soon became her husband.
After tying the knot, Amy and Matt bough their home, the famous Oregon farm where the show is being filmed.
Speaking of the time TLC approached them about a show, Amy recalled, “The Learning Channel (TLC) came to us [in 2005], and so we suddenly realized we were given a great opportunity to educate people about dwarfism. When it was offered that we do a show about our lives, my husband and I were like, ‘Wow, nothing like this has even been on the air.’”
The initial plan was for the show to be on air for six seasons, but people loved it and 22 seasons later it is still on.
Little People, Big World helped Amy learn more about herself. “I think I’ve gotten to know myself a little bit better, actually, and all the opportunities that I’m more than able to do,” she said. “Exposing your life to millions of people, especially as a parent, is a daunting thing to begin with.
“But I think this very public experience has helped each member of my family grow. I think it’s strengthened us so that we recognize our flaws and the best parts about ourselves.”
Amy and Matt divorced in 2016 but they remained good friends. After the separation, Amy started dating again.
“We do our best, we still want to remain respectful for the sake of our kids and stuff like that,” she said on the divorce. “We’ve had a long life together, so why hate each other. It didn’t work out and we have moved on.”
“After divorce, you know, production’s like, ‘Oh, you gotta date! Date!’ I’m like wait a minute, I have to breathe and be for myself for a moment,” she added.
On August 28, Amy married her boyfriend Chris Marek, who is the owner of Keller Williams real estate firm. They had been engaged for two years before tying the knot. The ceremony took place on the farm which now belongs to Matt after Amy sold him her portion for $600,000, as reported by The Sun.
Chris has appeared on the show several times.

Losing a parent can be devastating for a child, especially when they are still very young and unable to understand why their mom or dad is no longer around. But you know what they say, it takes a village to raise a child, and the colleagues of a police officer who lost his life while on duty know that best.
The officer died trying to save a mother and her child from an armed man. He heard screaming coming from a nearby home and entered inside without hesitation. Sadly, it was then that he was shot multiple times and died at the scene. As a result of his bravery, the American state of Indianapolis recognized him as a hero posthumously.
Sadly, at the time of his passing, his daughter Sierra was still just a child.
She had a hard time accepting that her dad was no longer part of her life and the void broke her heart into a million pieces.
Sierra often visited her dad’s grave and laid flowers.
On the day of her graduation, years after his passing, Sierra and her boyfriend decided to stop by the graveyard before attending the college ceremony. What this young lady didn’t know was that a huge surprise awaited her at her father’s grave.
Wanting to support her on her special day, her late father’s colleagues decided to be by her side and they all waited her at the graveyard.
Sierra was thankful and her heart was filed with joy. She and the officers took a photo to commemorate the priceless occasion.
