Keeping Tucker Carlson in our thoughts during this difficult time

Right-wing commentator Tucker Carlson, who served as a long time host on Fox before launching his own media ventures, shared on X that his father, whom he considered “the toughest person in the world,” passed away.

Richard “Dick” Warner Carlson died in his home in Boca Grande, Florida, surrounded by his children.

Just like his son, Dick worked as a reporter at the start of his career, before serving as the U.S. Ambassador to the Seychelles under President George H. W. Bush in the early 1990s. Before that, he worked as Director of Voice of America under President Ronald Reagan.

In his tribute to his father, Tucker wrote, “Throughout his life, he fervently loved dogs” and after a six-week illness, Dick Carlson “refused all painkillers to the end and left this world with dignity and clarity, holding the hands of his children with his dogs at his feet.”

Born on Feb. 10, 1941 in Massachusetts, to a Swedish-speaking mother who was 15, Dick was left in an orphanage is Boston. He spend his childhood years moving from one foster family to another before being adopted. At 17, he was thrown out of school and joined the U.S. Marine Corps.

“He was a free thinker and a compulsive book reader, including at red lights,” Tucker said of his father.

“He left a library of thousands of books, most dog-eared and filled with marginalia. His reading and life experiences convinced him that God is real. He had an outlaw spirit tempered by decency.”

Throughout his life, he worked in different countries, meeting various world leaders.

“He was a fundamentally nonjudgmental person who was impossible to shock, and he described them all with amused affection,” Tucker added about his father.

Dick Carlson was a singe father who raised his sons on his own after his wife departed for Europe and didn’t return, dreaming of leading a bohemian lifestyle, according to Tucker.

Dick often took his boys to reporting trips and educated them at the dinner table “on topics that ranged from the French Revolution to Bolshevik Russia, PG Wodehouse, the history of the American Indian and, always, the eternal and unchanging nature of people.”

He married Patricia Swanson, heir to the Swanson Foods fortune, in 1979.

“They were together for 44 years, all of them happy,” Tucker Carlson wrote. “She died sixteen months before he did and he mourned her every day.”

Richard “Dick” Warner Carlson is survived by his two sons, his five grandchildren, and his daughter-in-law.

May he rest in peace.

Mom warns about common drink after 28-year-old’s heart attack

Katie Donnell, a 28-year-old woman described by her mother as an “epitome of health,” died of a heart attack. Her devastated mother, Lori Barranon, believes a popular drink is to be blamed for her daughter’s tragic passing.

Namely, the tragedy struck back in 2021, while Katie was out with her friends. She was rushed to the hospital, where she had spent ten days on life support, before the family made a heartbreaking decision to let her go.

While Katie was “fitness mad,” she did consume a lot of energy drinks, which her mother believes is what led her to her heart attack.

“She would start with a pre-workout before she went to work to supposedly wake up or she went to the gym and did cardio at five in the morning.

“I didn’t realize how much she was drinking until after she passed. Her boyfriend said she would buy a four-pack every two to three days,” Lori explained.

Katie Donnell, a 28-year-old woman described by her mother as an "epitome of health," died of a heart attack.

“Not to mention she was drinking a lot of coffee and doing the pre-workout.

“One of her friends said she’d hardly see Katie without an energy drink in her hands. When I cleaned out her car after she passed it was full of cans, at least three or four in there.”

According to Healthline, consuming energy drinks can lead to cardiovascular issues, including high blood pressure and heart arrhythmias. If the consumption is excessive, it can also lead to heart attack.

However, besides Lori’s belief that the consumption of energy drinks was the cause of her daughter’s heart attack, doctors say that it is hard to determine a cause-and-effect relationship between the two.

The safe amount of caffeine intake per day is around 400 mg, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA).

Kennedy News and Media

“At 28, you just don’t see people dropping dead of a heart attack.

“She was a workout queen, she ate real clean, she ate organic food, she was the epitome of health other than [having energy drinks],” Lori said of her daughter.

“Doctors said they see this happen a lot with people that do a lot of pre-workout or energy drinks but they wouldn’t give the cause of death to that. I know for a fact that was what was wrong with her.

“I beg people to counsel your kids and watch what they’re doing, I think energy drinks should be banned.”

Researchers claim to have found proof of the ‘soul’ leaving the body at death

The question of whether the soul is leaving the body the moment a person dies has been a subject of debate for centuries. However, a recent study reveals that this is exactly what happens.

So far, in order to address this topic from a scientific point of view, researches have studies near-death experiences (NDEs), reports of out-of-body experiences, and studies on the body’s energy changes at the time of death.

However, the study discussed by Dr Stuart Hameroff, anesthesiologist and professor at the University of Arizona, captured the brain activity of clinically dead patients.

For the sake of the study, scientists placed small sensors on the brains of seven extremely sick patients moments before they were taken off life support. This enabled scientists to captured each patient’s blood pressure and heart before it ultimately dropped to zero and the person passed away.

Ultimately, an electroencephalogram (EEG) recorded a strange burst of energy that occurred right after death.

“They saw everything go away and then [psh] you got this activity when there was no blood pressure, no heart rate,” Dr Hameroff shared with Project Unity.

“So that could be the near-death experience, or it could be the soul leaving the body, perhaps.”

The expert suggests that the detected movement could be consciousness leaving the body.

“The point is it shows that consciousness is actually, probably, a very low-energy process. This has been a fairly reproducible event—maybe not 100%, but about 50% of patients show this when you measure it,” he added.

Researchers of the study argue that these bursts could be a result of the brain being deprived of oxygen.

Dr Hameroff discussed the theory on The Science Channel’s documentary series Through the Wormhole.

“Let’s say the heart stops beating, the blood stops flowing; the microtubules lose their quantum state,” he said.

“The quantum information within the microtubules is not destroyed, it can’t be destroyed, and it just distributes and dissipates to the universe at large.

“If the patient is resuscitated, or revived, this quantum information can go back into the microtubules and the patient says ‘I had a near-death experience.”

“If they’re not revived, and the patient dies, it’s possible that this quantum information can exist outside the body, perhaps indefinitely, as a soul.”

The researchers stated: “In our critical care practice, we spend a significant amount of time with grieving families. In these interactions, we have found that the idea that ‘something’ happens at the time of death is comforting to the families.”

11-year-old commits suicide after receiving ICE threats from schoolmates

School police has been investigating the death of 11-year-old Jocelynn Rojo Carranza whose mom claims committed suicide after receiving threats by classmates to report her family to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

The young girl died on February 8, five days after her mother discovered her unresponsive in their family home.

“All week I’ve been waiting for a miracle – waiting for my daughter to get better,” her mother Marbella Carranza told CNN affiliate KUVN. “But unfortunately there was nothing that could be done.”

Sixth-graders at her school, Gainesville Intermediate School, around 70 miles north of Dallas b*****d Jocelynn for weeks. They had been scaring her with deportation threats, her mother claims.

Allegedly, they told her over and over again that once they deported her entire family, she would be all alone.

Sadly, those threats were too much for Jocelynn to handle and eventually led to her ending her own life.

According to her mother, the family wasn’t aware of the ordeal her daughter was going through because she didn’t show any changes at home, but claimed the school was aware because Jocelynn was seeing a counselor about the issue once or twice a week.

“It appears the school was aware of it all, but they never, they never told me what was happening with my daughter,” the mom said. “It appears she would go once or twice a week to counseling to report what was happening,” she told KUVN.

“(I want) justice because it’s not fair – the school was negligent for not keeping me informed of what was going on with my daughter,” she added.

According to the Independent, the Gainesville Independent School District did not acknowledge the girl’s death. Instead, they issued a statement pointing to its strict anti-bullying code.

“Whenever we receive a report of b******g, we respond swiftly to ensure all students are safe physically and emotionally. While we cannot release any information about specific students or incidents, our schools have several policies in place to combat b******g and resolve conflicts,” the district told CNN in a statement.

Sadly, Jocelynn’s fears grew even bigger with Donald Trump’s administration policy on illegal immigrants, ordering for the “largest deportation operation in American history,” urging ICE as well as other federal agencies to conduct targeted operations against around 12 million undocumented immigrants across the country.

The entire community mourned the death of this precious girl who committed suicide after receiving ICE threats and feared for her family’s future.

Doctor gives stark warning for those kissing men with beard

Men with beard are considered attractive. This is because beard has always been associated with masculinity and confidence. Also, it gives those who have it sort of rugged look that is often connected with strength.

However, kissing men with beard or stubble may develop “beard rash” at some people.

Taking to Instagram, Dr. Myro Figura spoke of the issues that may appear when exchanging kisses with bearded men.

“Kissing somebody with a beard can cause an infection? It sure can.

“If not clean, the beard can harbour a lot of bacteria like staph and strep and when kissing the beard can cause breaks in the skin, allowing bacteria to enter and cause an infection called impetigo.”

Impetigo, which is a skin infection that’s very contagious but not usually serious, starts with red sores or blisters, as per NHS.

Eventually, the blisters burst, leaving crusty, golden-brown patches.

“Anyone can get it, but it’s more common in young children. With treatment, impetigo often gets better in a few days,” the side states.

Your GP may suggest a treatment involving hydrogen peroxide cream or antibiotic cream or tablets if it’s more widespread.

For the blisters to get away, it would take around 7 to 10 days, as per NHS.

A similar warning about kissing men with beard has been issued by TikTok dermatologist Muneeb Shah, known as the Derm Doctor. Answering a question of a woman who said her skin got irritated after a kiss with a bearded man, the Derm Doctor said, “Beards carry a tonne of bacteria, and when you rub up against them they create tiny little cuts in the skin, which can lead to infections like impetigo.”

He also urged men to have their beard cleaned regularly, which triggered plenty of comments from men with beard who found themselves sort of offenden.

“Who????? Who doesn’t clean their beard??!?” someone commented.

The comments from women were rather different, with one person writing, “I didn’t know I could be less into facial hair than I was before, but here I am.” Another one added: “Swear some guys can’t do the bare minimum omg.” A third one chimed in: “If he doesn’t clean even his beard, what else is he not cleaning?!”

Through a Facebook post, the Russian embassy in Cairo stated that in fact most of the passengers, if not all, were of Russian origin.

“On March 27, around 10:00, at a distance of 1 km from the shore, an accident of the submersible ‘Sindbad’, belonging to the hotel of the same name occurred.

“The submersible carried out a regular underwater excursions with inspection of the coral reef,” the post read.

A tourist who had been a passenger of the tourist submarine days before it sank stated it was in a “terrible condition.”

According to the Mirror, he told reporters, “The glass was broken and scuffed, and visibility was 50/50. It was difficult to see the fish and the diving show.”

Allegedly, the company owning the Sinbad tourist submarine that sank didn’t keep record of the names of their passengers.

“They simply took money from tourists and sent them underwater without any minimal preparation”, one tourist said, as per the Mirror.

This isn’t the sole incident of this kind. Back in November, a boat named Sea Story sank near the tourist resort of Marsa Alam. It carried 45 people.

Prince Harry ‘in tears’ as King Charles makes brutal new announcement

The beginning of May, 2024, marked an important development for the British royal family. Prince Harry landed in London to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games. During his stay in his home country, his brother, Prince William, received a significant new honour from King Charles. The timing seemed coincidental, but yet, many saw it as a major snub to Prince Harry.

The announcement from the Palace revealed that King Charles III has appointed Prince William as the colonel-in-chief of the Army Air Corps.

“His Majesty the King will officially hand over the role of Colonel-in-Chief of the Army Air Corps to His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales,” the palace’s statement read. “In August 2023, following His Majesty’s Accession, the King was pleased to announce military appointments including that the Prince of Wales would become Colonel-in-Chief of the Army Air Corps. The role was previously held by His Majesty the King, as Prince of Wales, for 31 years.”

Shutterstock

Royal expert Tom Quinn claims Prince Harry was ‘in tears when he heard’. He added: “What makes it much worse is that the role is being given to the very man who Harry sees as the cause of so many of his problems – his brother.

“And the announcement was deliberately made during Harry’s brief visit to the UK to have maximum impact. It shows Harry that he really is no longer welcome.”

William’s new role places him in charge of Harry’s former unit.

In 2008, Harry completed his Army Air Corps “Grading” and Pilot’s Selection Board interview, subsequently training as an Army Air Corps pilot in 2009.

“On successful completion of that Army Pilots Course, Prince Harry was selected to train on the Apache Attack Helicopter,” Harry’s official biography before he was removed from the official royal family website read. “On the same day, it was announced that Prince Harry received his provisional wings from his father.” Charles was colonel-in-chief of the Army Air Corps at the time. This made the ceremony extra meaningful for Harry.

The decision comes during a period of increased public curiosity, partly influenced by the stranded relationship between Prince Harry and King Charles.

During Harry’s most recent visit, he and his father, King Charles, didn’t meet due to the king’s “full programme.”

However, the statement by Prince Harry added that he “hopes to see him soon.”

Harry burnt bridges when it comes to his relationship with his family. Yet, he expressed his happiness about returning to the UK. Regarding the party, he described it as “amazing.” He also praised the work of Scotty’s, emphasizing the incredible and necessary support they provide to children.

“The more opportunity you get to do these kinds of events, the more the families and kids know this place exists which is really the most important thing,” Harry said, as reported by BBC.
