Battling a decades-long eating disorder, Diane Keaton embraces her scars of aging but is called ‘ugly’ and ‘fat’ by cruel fans

0

Ut goes without saying that Diane Keaton represents a true legend and and one of the most accomplished leading ladies of Hollywood. Throughout her long and very successful career, which spans almost six decades, she has given the fans and the world of film a lot.

Back in 1968, Keaton took the acting stage and played an understudy to a lead character in the hippie-musical Hair, a play which turned serendipitous as she was noticed by Woody Allen who offered her a role in the Broadway production, Play it Again, Sam.

She and Allen played a couple on stage, but the chemistry took over and they dated for a couple of years. Following their break-up, they remained friends and worked on other films and projects throughout the years.

Keaton had her big breakthrough in The Godfather, but it was her reunion with Allen in Annie Hall (1977) that earned that earned her an Academy Award and Golden Globe.

The list of films Keaton appeared in is so long, that one has trouble counting. Among the rest, she starred in Looking for Mr. GoodbarManhattan and 1981’s Reds, alongside Warren Beatty, for whom she fell hard. “The first time I saw Warren was in Splendor in the Grass (1961). I mean, come on! He was, I mean, to die for. A Dream. I mean, Bonnie and Clyde? Come on,” she said in an interview with Variety. “And not only was he beautiful, gorgeous and sexy and captivating and mysterious and a great movie star but he was also an unbelievable producer and director, or is rather, is also an unbelievable director and producer. All of this is just so unique.”

Further, she appeared in Father of the Bride (1991), Manhattan Murder Mystery, Godfather III, Something’s Gotta Give, alongside Jack Nicholson, and a lot more.

Speaking Keaton, Nicholson said, “She’s nothing if not fascinating, and working with her, she’s very unpredictable, which I like. She’s very disciplined about it all. She approaches a script sort of like a play in that she has the entire script memorized before you start doing the movie, which I don’t know any other actors doing that.”

Keaton is someone who is fond of natural beauty and aging graciously as opposed to the plastic surgeries many celebrities opt for.

“I tell myself I’m free to do whatever the hell I want with my body. Why not? I may be a caricature of my former self; I’m still wearing wide-belted plaid coats, horn-rimmed glasses, and turtlenecks in the summertime. So what? Nobody cares but me,” she said in an interview with the Daily Beast. “I don’t see anything wrong with face-lifts or Botox or fillers. They just erase the hidden battle scars. I intend to wear mine, sort of.”

Back in the day, at the start of her career, Keaton was under a lot of pressure to lose weight. It all started with her first ever appearance on stage, that in Hair. Sadly, that led to an unhealthy relationship with food which Keaton struggled with for a very long time.

“It was horrible. It was, of course, the lowest point of my life…I was a fat person, I was an obese person, who had somehow tricked myself and managed to hide it. So when you’re living with a lie for four years…” Explaining her battle with bulimia, she continued, “All I did was feed my hunger, so I am an addict. It’s true. I’m an addict in recovery, I’ll always be an addict. I have an addictive nature to me.”

There were occasions when fans slammed her for her looks and called her ‘fat’ and ‘ugly’ on the social media. “Wow. Diane Keaton got fat,” someone tweeted following her appearance at the Golden Globes in 2014.

“Well Diane Keaton isn’t nice, she ugly inside and out!” another critic tweeted recently.

When Keaton was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2017 American Film Awards gala, Woody Allen spoke jokingly of her eating disorder and said, “I didn’t know many things until I read her books. I didn’t know she was bulimic… I would be taking her to these high-end restaurants. $400 for dinner. If I knew she was throwing them up, I could have taken her to Pizza Hut.”

Keaton was among those who burst out in laughter with his joke, but the truth is that she’s taking the bulimia very seriously.

In the past, Keaton spoke genuinely of the fact that she continued to keep the weight off and “became a master at hiding. Hiding any evidence–how do you make sure no one knows? You live a lifestyle that is very strange. You’re living a lie.”

“People were nice enough, but I felt like an outsider,” she said. “I had a problem–it was sick and creepy. Bulimia takes a lot of time out of your day.”

Her photo wearing a bikini on the beach is being shared bu thousands and when the camera zooms out we understand why

0

What was supposed to be a day filled with fun and joy turned into a tragic incident for the grad-student at The University of Georgia, Aimee Copeland.

That day in 2012, she and her friends decided to go on a trip to a small lake, where they could zipline over the water. This sounded like a great idea which they all loved the moment they heard it.

Unfortunately, when it was Aimee’s turn to have some fun, the the cable snapped and she fell down a cliff. Sadly, she lost her leg that day.

YouTube

Aimee was rushed to the hospital, and once there doctors had more horrific news. Aimme contracted a very serious flesh-eating bacteria which infected her wound. It was a matter of hours if she would survive or live.

The bacteria she had is known as Aeromonas hydrophila. This bacteria easily leads to a life-threatening condition known as necrotizing fasciitis, commonly referred to as a flesh-eating disease.

It required 11 surgeries for her life to be saved, but she lost both her hands and legs which needed to be amputated.

YouTube

However, as brave as she has been, this young woman didn’t let the tragedy stay on her way of living her life to the best of her abilities.

Four years after the incident, Aimee shared a photo of herself at the beach, wearing a bikini and putting a huge smile on her face.

Many found inspiration in the photo and it was soon shared on the social media thousands of times with many saying that Aimee is a true inspiration.

Aimee Copeland (Facebook)

She’s proud of herself and of everything she managed to overcome, and what’s most, she’s proud of her body and the way she looks after the ordeal she had gone through.

“It has taken me a long time to become comfortable with and accept my new body. We are ALL made with imperfections and there is so much beauty in our flaws. The scars and skin grafting build character! It’s not about what you have — what you do with what you have is what really counts,” she wrote in the caption.

Today, Aimee is an advocate for amputee and disability rights, and she continues to inspire others through her public speaking engagements and social media posts. What’s most, she’s pursuing a PhD in psychology at the University of West Georgia.

She is the perfect example that nothing can take our dreams away, not even a tragedy like the one she suffered.

Chuck Norris honors mom as she turns 102 – she worked nights to get her 3 sons out of poverty

0

Over the years, martial artist Chuck Norris has enjoyed enormous popularity. He even became a synonym of strength and attracted millions of fans from all over the world.

He holds black belts in Tang Soo Do, Brazilian jiu jitsu and judo and is the founder of the discipline Chun Kuk Do, an American hybrid martial arts style based on Traditional Taekwondo styles such as Tang Soo Do/Moo Duk Kwan Taekwondo.

Besides being a huge part of Hollywood, he is also a family man and a father of five. He and his wife Gena O’Kelley, a former model, have been together for over 22 years. What we love about Norris is that he never misses a chance to remind Gena, as well as all of us, how much she means to him.

Recently, the actor shared a photo of the two on their wedding day and wrote, “22 years ago I became the luckiest man in the world when Gena and I got married. Happy Anniversary my beautiful wife! There are no words to describe my love and appreciation for you. Thank you for sharing your life with me. I praise God for every day we are together.”

However, O’Kelley isn’t the only important woman in Norris’ life. The 81-year-old actor is lucky enough to still have his mother by his side.

Wilma Norris Knight, who have recently celebrated her 102nd birthday, has always been extremely supportive of her eldest son. She was there through thin and tick and Norris is forever grateful for that.

Chuck, who turned 83 in March, writes in a letter to his mom, Wilma, “Mom, I don’t know what’s more difficult to believe: that you are 102 years old or that you have a son who is 83 years old! Regardless, I’m so grateful you are my mom. I always have been. We’ve been through thick and thin in this life, and we are still going strong.”

When Wilma became a centenarian, her famous son said of her, “Mom has been an example of perseverance and faith her whole life. She’s also endured the deaths of her two husbands, a stepson, two grandchildren, and my younger brother Wieland in the Vietnam War. She’s had cancer repeatedly and has undergone roughly 30 different surgeries for various issues–yet she’s still here to tell about it.”

Back in 2012, Wilma was asked about her sons on The Mike Huckabee Show. Describing them, she said Chuck is the “defender,” his brother, Aaron, is her “sunshine,” and the Wieland, the youngest who died in Vietnam, was her “hero.”

Wilma’s early life was a tough one. Besides attending school, she was forced to do multiple jobs, including cotton picking. She lived through the Great Depression, and speaking of that period of her life, Norris told WorldNetDaily, “When done picking one field, they’d often move to another town to pick another field. There was nothing easy about life in the Dust Bowl, especially during the decade of the Great Depression.”

When she turned 16, Wilma met Norris’ father. Unfortunately, after welcoming three sons together, he left her, so she was forced to raise her kids all by herself.

“Mom has been an example of perseverance and faith her whole life,” Norris told Christian Post.

“She’s also endured the deaths of her two husbands, a stepson, two grandchildren, and my younger brother Wieland in the Vietnam War. She’s had cancer repeatedly and has gone through roughly 30 different surgeries for a host of issues – and yet she’s still here to tell about it.”

Norris credits his mother for much of the success he reached during his life.

“My mother has prayed for me all my life, through thick and thin,” he said. “When I was born, I almost died from complications. When nearly losing my soul to Hollywood a few decades ago, she was back home praying for my success and salvation. She even prayed for me to find a woman to change my life, and it worked.”

Chuck Norris is a lucky man. We are glad his life is going to the right direction, and although he’s only been landing minor roles ever since 2012, we hope to see him in bigger projects.

Kate Middleton given clear 5-word instruction from William, lip reader reveals

0

It goes without saying that William and Kate, who are not the Prince and Princess of Wales, are a much-adored couple not only by the people of Britain but by people from every corner of Earth.

Besides they represent one of the most famous as well as most powerful couples in the world, William and Kate are grounded and down-to-Earth.

At the same time, they are involved in a huge number of royal engagements which they execute to perfection and are the true representation of what the royal family stands for, and that’s tradition and loyalty.

When it comes to Kate Middleton, it’s safe to say that she’s one of the most popular royals despite the fact her parents are ordinary people. In fact, when she and William started dating during the time they were both students at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland, Kate was referred to as to a ‘commoner,’ by the press and by the public. And knowing how cruel the British press can be, then 19-year-old Kate went through hell when they started calling her “Waity Katie” and “Lazy Katie.” This was due to the fact that she quit her job to “prepare for her future life.”

The couple split for a while but they soon got together and got engaged when William proposed to her in 2010 during a trip to Kenya with his late mother’s engagement ring.

William was very supportive of his loved one and made sure he prepared Kate for her life as a royal. Today, no one deserves it more than Kate to be a future Queen as she’s not only a working royal and a crucial part of the Firm but an excellent mother too.

The two share three children together, their oldest one, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and the youngest one, Prince Louis.

During King Charles and Queen Camilla’s coronation, William and Kate showed yet again that the tradition is in the core of their lives and the values they live by.

While Prince George served as Page of Honor, the rest of the children weren’t given any roles.

For the occasion, William wore the ceremonial dress uniform of the Welsh guards, his stunning wife was dressed in an official robe that she wore over an Alexander McQueen ivory silk dress decorated with silver bullion embroidered roses, thistles, daffodils, and shamrock motifs, intended to symbolize the different nations of the United Kingdom, CNN reported.

As the two were getting ready to enter the Abbey, the cameras caught the pair talking. According to lip-reader Jeremy Freeman, who spoke exclusively to the Daily Star, Kate told William to “just mind the gown,” to what he replied: “Don’t worry I got [or caught] it.”

This isn’t the first time lip-readers to try and figure out what royals were saying to one another during important events.

On the weekend late Queen Elizabeth celebrated her Platinum Jubilee, the pair emerged onto the steps of St. Paul’s Cathedral, Kate remarked on the service, saying: “It went very well, very well.” William replied: “Yes, perfect,” according to lip-reader John Cassidy.

Kate stole the attention with her outfit. She wore a stunning yellow dress and matching hat for the event.

As they waived to the crowd, Cassidy said the prince gave his wife clear instructions when he turned to her and said: “Wait for that to move, then we can go.”

One thing is certain, William and Kate function perfectly as a couple.

Harry knew naming his daughter Lilibet was ‘disrespectful’ to the Queen and would ’cause trouble,’ author claims

0

Despite everything taking place within the Royal family following Harry and Meghan’s departure from Britain, the truth is that Harry and his beloved grandmother, late Queen Elizabeth, were always very close. Their relationship was somewhat special, and she was his greatest support during the toughest of times.

When Archie was born, the Sussexes were still working royals and his arrival into the world was announced by the Buckingham Palace. The proud parents posed with their newborn baby and plenty of details surrounding his birth were shared with the public.

Pool/Samir Hussein/WireImage

When the couple’s daughter was born, however, Harry and Meghan had already moved to sunny California, so they weren’t forced to share any specifics about their bundle of joy. They only released a short statement which read: “Lili was born on Friday, June 4, at 11:40 a.m. in the trusted care of the doctors and staff at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara, CA. She weighed 7 lbs 11 oz. Both mother and child are healthy and well and settling in at home.”

What caught the attention of many was the baby’s name. In an attempt to pay tribute to both Queen Elizabeth and Princess Diana, they chose the name Lilibet Diana.

Before her birth, the two claimed it would be very unlikely for their daughter to be named after her grandmother, late princess Diana, because they believed the name would come not only with a responsibility but would also “increase the public interest in the child’s life,” according to a source cited by Page Six. At the same time, the source indicated that Diana could be the middle name of Harry and Meghan’s second child.

Netflix

Lilibet is the Queen’s childhood nickname. Apparently, she used to pronounce her name like that when she was still very young and her grandfather, King George V, continued to call her that throughout his life. It was also the name Prince Philip used for his queen.

According to The Guardian, shortly after his marriage to Queen Elizabeth, the Duke of Edinburgh wrote a letter to his mother which read: “Lilibet is the only ‘thing’ in the world which is absolutely real to me.”

However, many people, as well as royal experts and biographers, criticized Harry and Meghan for the choice of the name of their girl.

One of the people who criticized the couple over the name is royal commentator Richard Kay. He wrote in a column for the Daily Mail that Harry and Meghan took things too far naming the girl Lilibet.

“By giving the baby the name Lilibet, the Queen’s private family nickname – even though they intend to use the diminutive ‘Lili’ for their daughter – there is a risk,” Kay wrote, as quoted by Express.

POOL/ Tim Graham Picture Library/Getty Images

“Will it be seen as a presumptuous choice for a royal baby who is eighth in line to the throne, but who will grow up on the other side of the world speaking with an American accent?”

He continued: “And how might Prince Charles feel about his fifth grandchild carrying such an intimate family pet name that he has never used himself? It is tempting to wonder if Harry would have been so emboldened in his choice if his grandfather Prince Philip – the only close family member permitted to call the Queen ‘Lilibet’ – had still been alive.”

Other royal commentators and biographers, including Angela Levin, believed the Queen herself wasn’t thrilled over the name of her 11th great-grandchild.

Recently, royal author Tom Quinn has brought up the subject of the choice of the name Lilibet in his new book Guilded Youth: An Intimate History of Growing Up in the Royal Family.

Quinn is certain that it is “beyond belief” that Harry couldn’t predict the trouble that might be caused by giving Queen Elizabeth’s childhood name to his daughter, saying that Harry should have known better.

“[Harry] surely would have known that appropriating the monarch’s beloved childhood nickname would be perceived by many as disrespectful and intrusive in a way that naming their daughter Elizabeth would have not been,” Quinn wrote in his book.

Quinn believes the couple’s move was ‘cynical,’ because according to him, they chose that name because they wanted to increase their “royal currency.”

“Meghan would never have thought naming her daughter Lilibet was anything other than a huge compliment; in the UK, it looks like an impertinence, and this is emblematic of many of Meghan’s difficulties,” he added.

Charles pleaded to Queen Elizabeth to make one of her final public appearances – she was frail and cried beforehand

0

The passing of Queen Elizabeth, the longest reigning monarch Britain ever had, left huge void in the hearts of millions of Britons who considered her not only a head of the monarchy but also a motherly figure.

When the news of her ill-heatlh was shared in the media on the day of her passing, a huge number of people gathered together and filled the streets of the major cities around United Kingdom as a sign of support. The number of those that arrived at Balmoral Castle, the Queen’s summer residence where she passed away, was even bigger.

When members of the royalty started arriving one by one, everyone assumed the Queen was living her last moments. Sadly, that happened to be the truth which left millions of people from all around the world heartbroken.

In a statement on Thursday, September 8, Buckingham Palace said:

“The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon. The King and the Queen Consort will remain at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow.”

The cause of death was listed as ‘old age,’ but some experts believe the late Queen suffered from a serious illness; a bone marrow cancer, which is why she experienced discomfort and pain during the last days of her life.

What’s most, it is believed that Queen Elizabeth used a wheelchair inside the castle but refused to be seen using one in public.

Royal expert and author Robert Joobson claims that Queen Elizabeth used wheelchair during the Platinum Jubilee, but people didn’t notice.

“On her insistence, a military-style exercise was put in place so that no one could see she was having to use a wheelchair,” Jobson wrote. “In considerable discomfort, Her Majesty was taken by wheelchair to the helicopter pad at Windsor.”

“At the Palace, she was wheeled right up to the balcony doors, then helped to her feet so that she could stand – with the aid of a walking stick – alongside Charles and Camilla, plus William and his family.”

“After a firework display, the Queen smiled with delight. It was her last salute to her people,” he concluded.

However, what many people don’t know is that the Queen was hesitating whether to appear on the balcony during the jubilee and that it took a lot of effort for her to stand on her feet in order to greet the crowd who was there to celebrate her reign.

In fact, it was then-prince Charles who pleaded his mother to gather the strength and come to London. It was the last ever plea from him to his mother.

The Queen only decided that she would go to London about three hours before the balcony appearance. She was not feeling brilliant but the Prince of Wales [now King Charles] had called her and told her she really ought to come if she could,” a royal source told The Daily Mail.

Apparently, King Charles “convinced” the Queen to travel from Windsor Castle to London for the public’s sake.

“He told her there were so many people desperate to see her, and he convinced her to come,” the source added.

When she saw the crowd, the Queen got very emotional.

“The Queen was totally overwhelmed by the number of people waiting to see her – she had tears in her eyes before she stepped out on the balcony.”

Shortly after the Jubilee weekend ended, she thanked everyone who was part of the celebration.

“While I may not have attended every event in person, my heart has been with you all; and I remain committed to serving you to the best of my ability, supported by my family,” Queen Elizabeth wrote.

“I have been inspired by the kindness, joy, and kinship that has been so evident in recent days, and I hope this renewed sense of togetherness will be felt for many years to come,” she said. “I thank you most sincerely for your good wishes and for the part you have all played in these happy celebrations.”

Queen Elizabeth is still missed. May she rest in peace.

Meghan Markle encourages Harry to ‘destroy’ the royal family, expert claims

0

The rift between Harry and Meghan and the members of the Firm seems to be deeper than ever. The truth is that the bridges the Sussexes burnt because of all the allegations they made against the royals can’t be easily fixed.

Ever since their departure from the family, Harry and Meghan are under the spotlight giving interviews, publishing books, and sharing details of their time as working royals.

It all started with the infamous interview with Oprah in which the couple accused the Firm of racism and shared that a senior royal was concerned about the color of the skin of then unborn Archie.

Once in the States, the couple continued exposing secrets concerning Harry’s part of the family, although one of the reasons they left Britain behind was the pursuit of a quiet life out of the eyes of the public and the media.

Chris Jackson/Getty Images

What followed was a bunch of appearances in podcasts and Harry publishing his all-tell memoir Spare in which he spoke about his life as a royal and wrote about everyone from his family, not even Kate and William’s children were spared.

All these appearances and the contracts they signed with Spotify and Netlix among the rest, brought them millions, so it’s safe to say that they can afford a lavish lifestyle.

The royals never reacted to any of Harry and Meghan’s accusations, except for the one time when now late Queen Elizabeth issued a statement regarding the Oprah interview in which she stated that “some recollections may vary.”

MEGA/GC Images

And now, as many are convinced that Harry and Meghan are done with being in front of the camera, royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams shared with the Daily Mail the couple would most likely continue to engage in activities similar to what we’ve seen over the past few years, including making shows, doing interviews, and writing books because they “specialize in doing the unexpected” and do whatever fits their needs.

Further, he claims that there is “obviously plenty left that they could say in print,” adding that there still remains “enormous’ international interest in Harry and Meghan’s activities.”

“His early life might make the third (book), and Meghan could write a memoir, as has been rumoured. There is obviously plenty left that they could say in print,” the royal expert concluded.

“The question is, would it benefit them, and how would it help their brand and the causes they support?”

Another royal expert and author, Tom Quinn, believes that Harry is seen as a “loose cannon” by the Royal Family and that Meghan’s goal is to steer Harry so that he might ‘destroy’ his family members.

“The Royal Family will be deeply upset by the fact they have this loose cannon, someone William was [once] close to,” Quinn said on the Channel 5 documentary Harry & Meghan: Is America Turning Against Them.

“[Harry] has married this woman who seems to be encouraging him to destroy the royal family.”

He further added that the Buckingham Palace not responding to anything Harry and Meghan say or do is expected. “Very sensibly, and in keeping with the tradition, the Royal Family [will never] say anything beyond things like ‘recollections may vary’ about these various events.”

Harry and Meghan are now so estranged from the British royalty that the only royals who have ever visited them in California are Princess Beatrice and her husband.

According to former Vanity Fair editor-in-chief Graydon Carter, the couple will “live to regret” not keeping in touch.

“That will come back to haunt them at a certain point. They have no cousins that they see, or uncles or aunts, and they don’t see grandparents, except for one,” he said. That one grandparent is Meghan’s mother Doria who often spends time with her grandchildren.

Sandra Bullock blasted for being ‘barely recognizable’ – but her partner accepts her just the way she is

0

Famed actress Sandra Bullock is a fan-favorite not only because of her incredible talent, but also because of her personality. It’s not often that A-list celebrities are down-to-Earth as much as she is, and that’s what makes her truly special.

Bullock, 58, became mother later in life when she adopted her two children, son Louis and daughter Laila.

As she was heading to her forties, Bullock believed she would never be a mother, but after Hurricane Katrina struck, she experienced an epiphany and said that something deep inside her told her her children were in New Orleans. She traveled there and started a process of adoption. It took four years before Louis became her child, but the waiting was worth it.

“I looked at him and said, ‘Oh, there you are.’ It’s like he’d always been there. He fit in the crook of my arm, he looked me in the eyes, and he was just wise,” she said of the time she laid eyes on her son.

Laila was adopted some years later. The little girl ended up in the foster system early in life and at the age of 2 and a half, she had already changed three different homes. That experience made her scared and prevented her from trusting people. Dealing with Laila’s trauma took some time, but Bullock was willing to go above and beyond for her daughter’s well-being. Before fostering her daughter, The Proposal star took classes designed to teach her how to raise a child that had been traumatized, as Laila had been.

After she adopted her her children, Bullock met her longtime partner, photographer Bryan Randall, whom the kids call ‘daddy.’

Recently, fans slammed The Blind Side star for her appearance, saying she’s unrecognizable.

Many say it’s obvious she has undergone plastic surgery to enhance her looks although Bullock denied going under the knife multiple times before.

“Plastic surgery around her eyes and cheeks. Made her barely unrecognizable, yikes!” one person wrote. “I said the same thing this past weekend. There was something about her eyes that I couldn’t put my finger on. After the movie I was Googling ‘What happened to Sandra Bullock’s face?’ Couldn’t find anything except people leaving comments to leave her alone, she’s beautiful. Jeez, another added.

“It’s really good and wow Sandra Bullock is unrecognizable. Anyways I’m pretty good thx for asking. How about you? Anything new and exciting?” a third wrote.

Bullock doesn’t seem to be touched by the comments because she has her husband’s support. He loves her unconditionally the way she is, and we believe she looks as stunning as ever.
