What the youngster from ‘Life is Beautiful’ looks like 26 years later: He grew up to be a really gorgeous man

0

Life is Beautiful is one of those films that leave an impression so strong, that you never forget them. The balance of hysterical comedy and serious drama that makes you cry while laughing and triggers an emotional harmony makes this film an iconic one.

One of the characters that added to the films uniqueness and beauty is that of Giosuè, the four-year-old son of Roberto Benigni’s character, Guido. The character was played by actor Giorgio Cantarini, who later starred in yet another Oscar-winning movie, Gladiator, in which he played the role of Russell Crowe’s character’s son.

Life is Beautiful won Academy Awards for Benigni as Best Actor and, as the director, for Best Foreign Film. For his own part, Cantarini was rewarded for a captivating performance in the poignant story with a Young Artist award.

After landing roles in these two legendary films, Cantarini returned to school and decided he wanted to pursue a career as a football player, but his friends and teachers convinced him not to quit acting.

Cantarini was eventually accepted at the prestigious Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia – the national film school – in Rome as one of just six boys and six girls to be admitted in 2012.

He played in a number of films and is still building his career.

What became of the girl whose lower face may have been restored by doctors?

0

Yaroslava Titorchukfrom Ukraine had a difficult childhood. Both her parents were addicts who lost their lives as a result of alcohol and substances abuse.

Sadly, Yaroslava was left an orphan and ended up in an orphanage. After some time, her grandmother took her in and cared for her. However, being an elderly lady, the grandma couldn’t provide the attention and supervision a teenager needed and Yaroslava ended up following into her parents’ footsteps.

She was getting into trouble often and stared smoking and using drugs and alcohol to help her with her struggles and her emotional suffering.

This lifestyle took its toll when young Yaroslava contracted an infection so serious that part of her lower jaw needed to be removed. Additionally, she needed an expensive dental prosthesis in order to be able to live without being afraid of her reflection, but she couldn’t afford it.

In an attempt to regain control over her life and turn a new leaf, she sought help from a reality TV show that offers help to people in need.

When she shared her life story with the public, donations started pouring in. Many people were touched by the young woman’s words and her will to start her life over. Luckily, she raised enough money to be able to afford the much-needed surgery that allowed doctors to rebuild her jaw through multiple procedures.

Eventually, Yaroslava broke her bad habits. She stopped drinking and got clean, and she even met the love of her life, married him, and welcomed a son.

Once she got the new looks, some people took to the social media to assault her, claiming she didn’t deserve the money she received from the public because drinking and using drugs was her personal choice. Others, however, were convinced that she didn’t choose her life, but she was forced into it because of everything that had happened to her over the years.

What’s most important is that Yaroslava is clean and sober now and she’s happy with how things turned out for her.

Unbreakable bond: Tim Allen and Tom Hanks’ enduring friendship

0

We have witnessed many on-screen relationships between actors and actresses turn into real-life love stories over the years. The truth is that the same goes about friendships which last a lifetime. One of those genuine friendships between two actors is the one between Tim Allen and his “Toy Story” co-star Tom Hanks.

Just the thought of these incredible A-list starts being best friends in real life make us go ‘aww.’

In a recent interview on the Kelly Clarkson show, Allen spoke of his friendship with Tom Hanks, or ‘Mr. Nice Guy,’ who has played many roles over the course of his career which are until this day considered iconic, like those in Forest Gump and Philadelphia, for which he won two consecutive Academy Awards for Best Actor.

“He and I differ on so many things. I adore that man’s heart and mind,” Allen said of Hanks.

The two have been seen together recently and many assumed that they are working on a movie together. “We’ve been going to lunch since Toy Story 1, two times a year, and we’re like two older women ’cause we will sit almost too close to each other at a booth,” Allen said. “It’s just weird.”

During the filming of Toy Story 1, Hanks took some fries from Allen’s plate and Allen’s reaction was priceless as he grew up in a home where one wouldn’t simply help themselves to food from other’s plates.

“And I don’t think I’ve ever trusted a human being as much as Tom to even listen to me and vice versa. We have very different opinions on so many things, but he’s gotten me to accept — he’s really a wonderful and engaging person. He’s the first guy to listen to me and doesn’t judge,” Allen said of Hanks, who played Woody to Allen’s Buzz Lightyear in one of the most loved children’s movies ever.

Both Allen and Hanks are incredible actors with very successful Hollywood careers and we are very glad they clicked and hang out together.

Matthew Perry’s secret relationship with Gwyneth Paltrow finally revealed after his death – confirms what we all suspected

0

When he landed the role of Chandler Bing, actor Matthew Perry, along with the rest of the cast, became a worldwide phenomenon.

Friends attracted the attention of millions of people from every corner of Earth, and even today, almost two decades since the last episode aired, it is still considered one of the best TV shows ever created.

Perry was born Matthew Langford Perry on August 19, 1969, in Williamstown, Massachusetts. His parents split while he was still a baby, but they later remarried.

As a child, he traveled a lot because his mother resided in Canada and his dad was living in California.

He once recalled that he was forced to travel by plane on his own despite being just five years old.

“I was terrified,” he told People in 2022 of his flight from Montreal to Los Angeles. “My feet didn’t even touch the floor. And then when I saw the lights of the city, I knew we were landing, that my dad was going to pick me up, and I’d have a parent again.”

In his memoir Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing, Perry described himself as a “latchkey kid.”

Perry’s mom worked as a press secretary for Canadian Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau, the father of now-Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, whom Matthew went to school with, and she was quite busy most of the time. Perry believed that finding a way of making her laugh would make them closer.

“Mom and I were both abandoned, in fact, before we’d even gotten the chance to know each other,” Matthew Perry wrote in Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing.

“I learned to be funny (pratfalls, quick one-liners, you know the drill) because I had to be,” he continued. “And me being funny tended to calm her down enough that she would cook some food, sit down at the dinner table with me, and hear me out, after I heard her out, of course.”

While still in high school, Perry got his first role in the sitcom Second Chance. The year after, he was cast in his first movie role, starring opposite River Pohenix in A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon.

Throughout his career, which spanned decades, Perry had starring roles in the 1997 romcom Fools Rush In with Salma Hayek, and in 2000 and 2004 he played alongside Bruce Willis in The Whole Nine Yards and its sequel, The Whole Ten Yards.

He was part in a number of films and TV shows, but it was the role of sharp-tongued Chandler Bing in Friends that helped him rise to stardom. He played the role for ten years, from 1994 to 2004.

Just before he got the role, Perry, who was broke at the time, prayed for his life to change for the better.

“Out of nowhere, I found myself getting to my knees, closing my eyes tightly, and praying. I had never done this before,” Matthew Perry wrote in his 2022 memoir. “God, you can do whatever you want to me. Just please make me famous.

“Three weeks later, I got cast in Friends. And God has certainly kept his side of the bargain — but the Almighty, being the Almighty, had not forgotten the first part of that prayer as well,” he said, referring to his health struggles and addiction.

When the casting was done, Friends creator Marta Kauffman knew something big was on the way when she saw the six actors together.

“The first was our very first rehearsal when we had all six of them onstage for the first time, and they read the scene in the coffeehouse. I got chills up and down my spine and thought, ‘This is special. There is something about these six, this script for them, that’s special,’” she told Rolling Stone Magazine.

However, during the filming of the series, Perry struggled with alcohol and drug addiction.

“I had this odd rule that I would never drink on a set,” Perry told The New York Times. “I went to work in extreme cases of hangovers. It’s so horrible to feel that way and have to work and be funny on top of that.

“I don’t remember three years of it,” Perry revealed in an interview with the BBC about filming Friends while struggling with his addiction. “I was a little out of it at the time — somewhere between Seasons 3 and 6.”

His co-stars were aware of his struggles.

“I tried to talk to him,” Matt LeBlanc, starring as Joey Tribbiani on Friends, told People. “There wasn’t a response. It’s such a personal struggle; they need to bottom out on their own.”

“When Matthew was sick, it was not fun,” Lisa Kudrow, who played Phoebe Buffay, recalled in an interview with the New York Times about Perry’s struggles during the 2000-2001 season. “We were just hopelessly standing on the sidelines. We were hurting a lot. Matthew is one of the funniest people I’ve ever met in my life. He’s charming and hilarious. Most of our hard laughs came from Matthew.”

Perry made millions laugh, but his personal life was a real struggle. He fought his demons almost his entire life and spent millions of dollars on rehab.

Perry never married and never had children, although he wanted to be a father.

He once dated Julia Roberts but believed he wasn’t good enough for her.

“Dating Julia Roberts had been too much for me,” Perry wrote in his memoir. “I had been constantly certain that she was going to break up with me — why would she not? I was not enough; I could never be enough; I was broken, bent, unlovable.”

“So instead of facing the inevitable agony of losing her, I broke up with the beautiful and brilliant Julia Roberts,” he continued. “She might have considered herself slumming it with a TV guy, and TV guy was now breaking up with her. I can’t begin to describe the look of confusion on her face.”

In 2020, he got engaged to literary manager Molly Hurwitz, but the two announced their split just a year later.

Following his passing, another actress opened up about the fling she had with Perry during the time he still wasn’t cast for Friends, Gwyneth Paltrow, who took to Instagram to share her tribute.

She wrote, “I met Matthew Perry in 1993 at the Williamstown Theater Festival in Massachusetts. We were both there for most of the summer doing plays. He was so funny and so sweet and so much fun to be with,” along with a photo of Perry from his early days.

“We drove out to swim in creeks, had beers in the local college bar, kissed in a field of long grass. It was a magical summer. He had shot the pilot of Friends but it had not aired yet. He was nervous, hoping his big break was just around the corner. It was,” she continued, adding that the two stayed friends for a while but eventually “drifted apart.”

“I hope Matthew is at peace at long last. I really do,” Gwyneth Paltrow concluded.

Perry also mentioned this fling in his memoir writing that he met Gwyneth at a party and they “slipped off into a broom cupboard and made out.”

“This was the last summer of my life when I could make out at a party with a beautiful young woman called Gwyneth,” Perry wrote in his memoir. “And no one, save Gwyneth and I, cared.”

Matthew was truly one of a kind. He will forever be missed.

How the crippled woman made a nice family despite her condition shows that love always wins

0

Known as the “woman with a half a body,” Rose Siggins led quite a life.

This woman was a symbol of independence and strength as she managed to give birth to two children and raise them together with her husband besides having no legs.

Rose navigated around using a skateboard. She had lost her legs early in life due to a rare genetic disorder known as Sacral Agenesis, but that didn’t stop her from living a fulfilling life.

At the age of two-and-a-half, her parents agreed that doctors amputate Rose’s legs. They said this decision allowed “her to lead a fairly normal childhood.”

She was known to the public by the character Legless Suzi she played on American Horror Story: Freak Show, a program on the FX network. Rose was also featured in The Woman with Half a Body, a 2005 documentary about her life.

Rose married her husband Dave Siggins in 1999 and the couple welcomed two children together.

When she told doctors that she was pregnant, they were in complete shock, but she knew she was able to carry her baby, and eventually, she gave birth to a perfectly healthy son. Later on, she gave birth to a daughter.

Rose got a role in American Horror Story: Freak Show, set in one of the last remaining freak shows in the US and following its attractions’ struggle for survival that earned 20 Emmy nominations, including outstanding limited series. Following the show, she became known in the States and in every other country where the series aired.

Unfortunately, Rose died in 2015 following a kidney stone surgery, during which she contracted an infection which ultimately caused her death.

The cast of the series paid tribute to Rose. Sarah Paulson posted a number of tweets honoring her late co-star who she called “an absolute light.”

“I will never forget your laugh or your beautiful eyes,” she wrote.

Rose Siggings truly was an extraordinary woman.

The tragic and sudden death of actor Matthew Perry shook the world. Millions of fans are mourning the loss of the man who will always be remembered by the iconic character of Chandler Bing he played in the show Friends.

Nearly two decades after the final episode aired, Friends still remains one of the most popular TV shows of all time. The life of the six friends living in Manhattan and going through troublesome but fun time together became a synonym for true friendship.

The finale of Friends was watched by 50 million Americans. For the last season, the six friends were paid each $1 million per episode. With the show being on the screens ever since it first aired, Perry, and his co-workers, earned about $20 million per year just for the reruns.

Spokesperson of the LA Fire Department reported that first responders arrived at Perry’s home at about 4 p.m. regarding a “water emergency” of an unknown type, but did not name the actor. Sadly, upon arrival, they discovered Perry’s unresponsive body. According to them, there were no drugs of any type at the scene. At the time being, no foul play is suspected.

Born in 1969 to a Canadian mother and American father, the actor made his film debut in the 1988 film A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon, which also stars the late River Phoenix.

Other shows he appeared in are Growing PainsSydney with Valerie Bertinelli and Beverly Hills, 90210.

Many celebrities paid tribute to the great actor. Among them was Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who took to X to share his devastation over Perry’s tragic passing. “Matthew Perry’s passing is shocking and saddening. I’ll never forget the schoolyard games we used to play, and I know people around the world are never going to forget the joy he brought them. Thanks for all the laughs, Matthew. You were loved – and you will be missed.”

Maggie Wheeler, who played Chandler’s troublesome ex-girlfriend Janice in Friends, was the first of Perry’s co-stars to publicly pay tribute to the actor. “I feel so very blessed by every creative moment we shared,” she wrote on Instagram.

Perry’s on-screen mother, actress Morgan Fairchild, wrote, “I’m heartbroken about the untimely death of my ‘son,’ Matthew Perry. The loss of such a brilliant young actor is a shock.”

Selma Blair referred to Perry as to her “oldest boy friend.” She added: “All of us loved Matthew Perry, and I did especially. Every day. I loved him unconditionally. And he me. And I’m broken. Broken-hearted. Sweet dreams Matty. Sweet dreams.”

Speaking of his life, Perry revealed during numerous occasions that he battled many addictions.

When he was cast in Friends, one of the most popular shows ever created, Perry rose to stardom. But at the same time, he started abusing alcohol.

“I could handle it, kind of. But by the time I was 34, I was really entrenched in a lot of trouble,” Perry confessed. “But there were years that I was sober during that time. Season 9 was the year that I was sober the whole way through. And guess which season I got nominated for best actor? I was like, ‘That should tell me something.’”

In 2016, he admitted he didn’t remember three years of filming during Friends.

“I didn’t watch the show, and haven’t watched the show, because I could go, ‘Drinking, opiates, drinking, cocaine,’” he said last year. “I could tell season by season, by how I looked. That’s why I don’t wanna watch it, because that’s what I see.

“But I think I’m going to start to watch it because it’s been an incredible thing to watch it touch the hearts of different generations.”

Days before his passing, Perry shared his last Instagram post. Hauntingly, the photo he shared showed himself in a hot tub.

Rest in peace, Matthew Perry, your enchanting smile will never be forgotten.

As per the officials, they received a medical call from Perry’s home overlooking the Pacific Ocean at around 4 p.m. Saturday reporting that the actor was in a hot tub and not breathing. So far, the identity of the caller hasn’t been revealed.

“An adult male patient was deceased prior to first response arrival,” the LAFD said in a statement. “The patient was found by a bystander who had re-positioned the victim where the head was out of water” in a freestanding hot tub.

A social media commenter noticed something weird in mom’s photo, and now her daughter’s life will never be the same

0

Being a parent is one of the most wonderful things a person can ever experience. Most new moms and dads are so happy with their bundles of joy that they tend to share that happiness with the rest of the world by posting a bunch of photos of their little ones on social media.

Ashley and J.P. Rosenbaum, the couple who met on the reality show The Bachelorette, are no exception. During that season, Ashley was the bachelorette and she chose to accept J.P.’s marriage proposal. The two married on the show.

When their second child was born, they were eager to post photos of baby Essex on Instagram. Being sort of celebrities, they have plenty of followers and get a number of comments on their posts. Sometimes, those comments are positive, and sometimes, not that much, but one particular comment under one of Essex’s photos affected their life.

Speaking to People, Ashley explained that the comment, which came from a complete stranger, caught her eye. At first, she didn’t pay much attention, but she somehow couldn’t get her mind off the words she read so she decided to look into it.

“Our daughter, when she was born, I was posting pictures of her and somebody wrote me a message saying, ‘Hey, get her checked out’ because she was always twisted, she had torticollis. Someone said, ‘Get it checked out because my son had the same thing.’”

After getting the girl checked out, Ashley was shocked to learn that the stranger who took the time to comment on her photo was right. Essex was diagnosed with torticollis, a condition involving the muscles of the neck that causes the head to tilt down. Although the exact cause is not known, it is believed that this condition is caused by a neck muscle injury at birth. The good thing is that it is treatable if caught early, and thanks to that comment, Essex was diagnosed just in time to get the right treatment.

“We got the baby helmet and everything!” mom Ashley explained.

Ashley and J.P.’s marriage didn’t last long. They share two children together and split custody.
