Heartbreakingly, Adan Manzano died 10 months following his wife’s sudden passing.

She was involved in a fatal car crash in April, leaving Adan and their child behind. Sadly, the young child is now left without both his parents.

Manzano, who’s originally from Mexico City, moved to Topeka back in 2018 where he joined the Chiefs Television Crew as a sideline reporter at the beginning of the 2024 season.

Speaking of his career, Manzano said at the time, “I used to dream about this but I never expected that it was going to come that soon. It’s just a blessing.”

Two days after his death, the police made an arrest, Fox 8 Live reported.

As per the publication, the suspect in question is a woman named Danette Colbert, of Slidell. Allegedly, authorities caught her using Manzano’s credit card at several stores around the area of New Orleans.

Investigators say that security footage shows Colbert leaving the sport anchor’s hotel room in the morning of Wednesday, February 5, when officials reported his death.

According to authorities, Colbert has previous charges and arrests for stealing credit cards and cash, drugging men, and similar money-related crimes.
