Strategist who predicted Trump’s fall claims it has now occurred

Veteran Democratic strategist James Carville predicted back in February that Trump‘s administration will collapse, and he’s now claiming it has already started happening – soon that he expected.

The 80-year-old said on The Dan Abrams Show, “It’s collapsing right now. We’re in the midst of a collapse.

“What I have said very publicly is that Democrats need to play possum. This whole thing is collapsing,” he added.

Carville managed Bill Clinton’s first campaign, helping the Democrats “overtake” the White House after the 12-year rule by the Republicans.

According to him, the fall of Trump’s administration will be a result of the plethora of executive orders the president signed, some of which contradict the laws, and the declining approval ratings caused by the firing of thousands of government officials.

A month after his predictions, Carville spoke to CNN in the wake of the scandal with the leaked info on the military attack on Yemen when top officials invited editor-in-chief of The Atlantic, Jeffrey Goldberg, into the conversation by mistake, saying he was ‘wrong’ about his earlier prediction.

As expected, inviting a journalist to join in the conversation by mistake raised plenty of questions regarding national security protocols and the use of unsecured channels for sensitive information, with the Senate Armed Services Committee calling for an independent investigation.

“It’s before April Fool’s Day – which the Trump administration should make a national holiday because it so accurately represents who they are,” Carville said.

He continued: “We look at what’s happening in the markets, we look at what’s happening on Signal-gate, we look what’s happening all the way around us […] I think the thing is collapsed.”

The strategist added: “Let’s take the middle ground here and say ‘it’s collapsing’ – I’ll meet you half way, but that’s about all I can do.”

Speaking to Fox News he said that Democrats do not need to be “aggressive” against the Trump administration because the “collapse is already underway.”

Strategist James Carville added: “Poll numbers are declining. The collapse is already underway. Let’s see when [they] put the Medicaid budget when [they] put the tax, the $4.5 billion, trillion dollars of tax cuts to wealthy people. Just let the ball come to you. We don’t need to be aggressive now.”
