Prince Louis steals the show at Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee flyover, while Queen pulls out of service

Wearing a dusky dove blue Angela Kelly ensemble with matching hat, Queen Elizabeth, the longest reigning monarch in British history, appeared on the balcony of Buckingham Palace during the festivities for her Platinum Jubilee as flag-waving crowds from Britain and other countries gathered together to celebrate her seven decades of duty. As London is the scene of quite the party these days, the Queen herself pulled out of a service at St. Paul’s Cathedral after experiencing discomfort while watching Thursday’s parade at Buckingham Palace.

The Queen decided that only the royals carrying out official duties would appear at the balcony. Prince Andrew, for one, wasn’t there, and following the scandals he got involved into, this decision seemed like the right one, otherwise, his presence could have caused a public outcry. Harry and Meghan flew to Britain from California to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, but watched the show together with other royals from the Major General’s office near Horse Guards Parade.

As much as we all look forward to many more years of seeing Her Majesty on the throne, some outlets report that she plans to step down from her position in near future. If that happens to be the case, this parade and all the festivities definitely stand for a beautiful farewell.

Among those who stood by the Queen’s side on the balcony were William and Kate’s children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. The youngest child of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge was the one stealing the show. He pulled so many meme-worth faces that the entire country couldn’t help but share the adorable photos of the little Prince.

Dressed in a sailor-inspired white and blue ensemble that his father Princes William wore to his grandmother’s Jubilee in 1985, Louis melted millions of hearts with his cuteness.

His behavior only confirmed what anyone in the world would have suspected, that a 4-year-old standing on a balcony for any length of time before the eyes of the world is bound to end with the sort of hilarity that followed.

As he was enchanted by the flying planes and couldn’t stop waiving at them, Prince Louis also had a cute moment with his great-grandmother when they were caught chatting.

Louis was then seen covering his ears with his hands as the loud jets flew past and made funny faces at the crowd. He also held his hands up to his temples at one point as he looked grumpily at the planes flying over. The crowd found his antics amusing. Well, what’s not to love about Prince Louis’ innocence childhood brings?

He and his older siblings represent the newest generation of royals so it’s certain that all eyes will be on them as they grow up. Having in mind that their father and uncle went through the same while growing up and their lives are still a hot topic in the media, we are sure that the children will simply get used to that kind of life. We also hope that they will have the same principles of kindness, compassion and thoughtfulness as William and Harry.
