A chilling story comes from Olhos-d’Água, municipality located in the north of the state of Minas Gerais in Brazil.
A 36-year-old man had his penis and testicles chopped off after he allegedly tried raping his 20-year-old niece, The Sun reported. He was under the influence of alcohol when he attacked the young woman who managed to escape. After the incident, he went home to sleep and she rushed to her boyfriend to inform him of what had happened. Enraged, the boyfriend didn’t call the police, but decided to take matters into his own hands.
He called his cousin and then invited his girlfriend’s uncle to join them at a sugarcane field nearby. When the uncle arrived, the boyfriend and his cousin started beating him until his lost consciousness. After that, they took his trousers off, cut off his penis and testicles, and threw them to the wild pigs to eat as a punishment for his alleged rape attempt.

When the severed man gained consciousness, he managed to call an ambulance and was soon taken to the Doutor Gil Alves Municipal Hospital in Bocaiuva. Doctors managed to stop the bleeding and reconstruct his urinary tract, but were unable to replace what had been lost.
Police officer Michael Stephan da Silva reported that the force searched for the missing parts but didn’t find them, which led them to believe that they were indeed eaten by the wild animals.
Surgeon Felipe Lobo, who treated the man, said of the incident: “It was like something out of a scene from a Dante novel. His penis and scrotum had been severed and his external genitalia was completely missing. All we could do was stem the bleeding, give him a blood transfusion and clean the wound.”

It has been reported that the man would be released from hospital in three or four days. The boyfriend and his cousin have been arrested and no information has been released on whether the severed uncle would be charged with attempted rape.
