Flight attendant finds boy who’s not on passengers’ list

Meeting a boy by pure chance, changed the life of a flight attendant forever.

“You should know better than partying until late in the night before long flights,” Amy told Leslie as she handed her a pill for her unbearable headache.

“Oh, Amy, you know I visit clubs in order to forget about my personal problems,” Leslie answered, feeling defensive.

The two flight attendants got to work, preparing for takeoff. As the plane took off, Leslie felt like she needed to take a minute of rest, so she tried to sneak, but a strange sound coming from the bathroom caught her attention.

“What could this be?” she though to herself. “It has to be a cat. But who would let their cat wandering inside a plane.”

Leslie opened the door and saw a young boy seated on the floor, crying heavily.

“Hello, little one,” she said. “What are you doing here all by yourself? Tell me your name.”

Through heavy sobs, the boy, who carried a paper bag full of medicine, said, “I’m Ben.”

Leslie rushed to check the passengers’ list in order to find the boy’s parents, but even after checking it multiple times, she couldn’t find Ben’s name.

“Ben, honey, where are your mom and dad?” Leslie asked, panic starting to emerge in her.

“I followed after my mom, and I called her name at the airport, but she wasn’t my mom,” Ben said. “I have my grandma’s medicine. My mom and dad are going to Seattle to see grandma.”

Leslie got upset. She alerted the airport’s management about the boy and found him a seat.

Leslie was frustrated that she had to watch over the lost child during her layover, but she knew she needed to be there for him until he was reunited with his family.

The day after she found Ben, Leslie’s mom called her and told her that her son Joe was gravely ill. Ben saw the sadness in her eyes and approached her, handing her the bag with his grandma’s medicine.

“Leslie, here you are. Maybe this medicine can help your son,” he said.

Leslie was overwhelmed. Of course that medicine wouldn’t help Joe, but Ben’s innocent reaction put a smile on her face and warmed her heart.

Struggling financially, she didn’t know what to do, but eventually, she decided to take Ben to Seattle to his grandma and his parents paying for his ticket from her own pocket.

After Ben was finally reunited with his family, she went home to her son.

Sadly, Joe’s condition worsened and Leslie wasn’t certain if his condition would improve, especially because she couldn’t afford all the medicine he needed.

She cried and cried, when she suddenly heard a knock on the door.

“Who might this be?” she thought to herself.

To her surprise, it was Ben together with his mom and dad.

“What are you doing here?” she asked, confused.

That’s when Ben’s mom handed her a check on thousands of dollars.

“This may come in handy. We’ve heard your son has been ill. You see, we raised funds for Ben’s grandma, but sadly, she passed away. You need this money more than us. Please take it as a thank you for your care for Ben.”

Leslie was thankful to the little boy who had changed her and her son’s life forever.
