Ellen DeGeneres and her wife Portia are just two of the many celebs who made a decision to leave the States following Trump’s win of the 2024 presidential elections.
Unsatisfied with his politics and the position he has put the country in, Ellen and Portia made a decision to settle in the south of England. They bought an $18 million property in the Cotswolds region.
After selling their six-bathroom California property for $29.9 million in January, they took jet another step to cut further ties with America. Namely, the couple have also listed their two-bedroom bungalow, which is also located in Montesito, California, according to People.
The bungalow is near the beloved Butterfly Beach.

According to a representative from Riskin Partners Estate Group, the couple received “multiple offers within two days of hitting the market” and eventually sold the property for $5.2 million, the publication reported.
Ellen DeGeneres and Portia’s stay in the countryside in England hasn’t been smooth.
A source told the Daily Mail, “Ellen and Portia have had several issues with the place they initially moved into.
“First there was the flooding, of course, then there was an issue with some locals complaining about some building work carried out at the property.”

They continued: “So the upshot seems to have been that they started to have a look around and then this property came up.
“They looked at it several times. And they liked it more each time they looked.
“So it does look like it’s happening. They’ve been seen around there several times in recent weeks and have even had interactions with neighbors.”
The couple search for a property that resembles more of their place in California, offering the comfort they are used to.
