Brandi Glanville, the star of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, has been experiencing health issues for quite some time now. From the moment her face started disfiguring, she kept seeking answers on how to fix it, which drained her financially. Brandi admitted spending six figures in the search for cure.
When her face first started showing signs of disfigurement, doctors couldn’t tell why. Now, she and her doctors suspect the issue has been caused by a facial parasite.
“Honestly, I have so many doctors and I’ve had so many tests … I did lab work for $10,000,” she told Entertainment Tonight in December 2024. “I ran every test under the sun…. They’re like, ‘It could be a parasite.’ That’s, you know, new.”
She further shared that she believes she contracted a “parasite” from her time in Morocco, North Africa, while filming Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip.
“We had food sitting out for hours on end, and some of it was meat,” she explained, adding that it started in July 2023, “six months” after she returned from Morocco.

Ever since her issues started, Brandi’s life has changed a great deal.
It affected her social life, leaving her home, hiding from the world.
“I literally don’t do anything and I feel like I’m experiencing [the] COVID-19 [lockdown] all over again, but with some miserable side effects,” she told OK!. “I miss socializing with my girlfriends and then having s– with men. I’m a Scorpio. I love s–.
“I was having a lot of it and now I haven’t had any of it and I’m like, ‘Have I forgotten how to kiss?’” she added. “But, like, I’ve lost myself. I feel more insecure than I ever have in my life. Normally, I feel fairly secure, and I don’t get nervous. I don’t get anxiety about most things. Some things do give me anxiety, don’t get me wrong, but I feel like I lost Brandi.
“I want to be out,” she shared with the publication. “I want a boyfriend, I want to be dancing.” She added: “I want to be doing photoshoots. I want to be working.”
Not being able to work for two years has “really hurt her.”

During her ordeal, her two boys have been very supportive and always by her side.
“They’re like, ‘This is ridiculous. I can’t believe no one’s figured this out yet,’” she said. “They’re like, ‘It’s two years … this is crazy, mom.’ I’m like, ‘Trust me. I’m going through it.’ But they’re going through it too because I’m not the best version of myself.”
“I just have the best boys on the planet,” she added. “They hug me [and] they’re like, ‘You’re so beautiful on the inside. Don’t worry about it.’ But then, they worry because they see how this affects me. [They ask], ‘How’d you sleep? How’s your day? How’s your neck?”
Hopefully, Brandi Glanville will overcome her medical issue and will be able to live her life to the fullest, just the way she imagines it.
