Doctor gives stark warning for those kissing men with beard

Men with beard are considered attractive. This is because beard has always been associated with masculinity and confidence. Also, it gives those who have it sort of rugged look that is often connected with strength.

However, kissing men with beard or stubble may develop “beard rash” at some people.

Taking to Instagram, Dr. Myro Figura spoke of the issues that may appear when exchanging kisses with bearded men.

“Kissing somebody with a beard can cause an infection? It sure can.

“If not clean, the beard can harbour a lot of bacteria like staph and strep and when kissing the beard can cause breaks in the skin, allowing bacteria to enter and cause an infection called impetigo.”

Impetigo, which is a skin infection that’s very contagious but not usually serious, starts with red sores or blisters, as per NHS.

Eventually, the blisters burst, leaving crusty, golden-brown patches.

“Anyone can get it, but it’s more common in young children. With treatment, impetigo often gets better in a few days,” the side states.

Your GP may suggest a treatment involving hydrogen peroxide cream or antibiotic cream or tablets if it’s more widespread.

For the blisters to get away, it would take around 7 to 10 days, as per NHS.

A similar warning about kissing men with beard has been issued by TikTok dermatologist Muneeb Shah, known as the Derm Doctor. Answering a question of a woman who said her skin got irritated after a kiss with a bearded man, the Derm Doctor said, “Beards carry a tonne of bacteria, and when you rub up against them they create tiny little cuts in the skin, which can lead to infections like impetigo.”

He also urged men to have their beard cleaned regularly, which triggered plenty of comments from men with beard who found themselves sort of offenden.

“Who????? Who doesn’t clean their beard??!?” someone commented.

The comments from women were rather different, with one person writing, “I didn’t know I could be less into facial hair than I was before, but here I am.” Another one added: “Swear some guys can’t do the bare minimum omg.” A third one chimed in: “If he doesn’t clean even his beard, what else is he not cleaning?!”
