2-year-old uses positive affirmations to calm down and it’s just plain adorable

Between the tantrums, the crying that naturally happens when they test how far they can go, and all the smiles they treat you with, it’s safe to say that bringing children up is one hell of a task that parents sometimes struggle to complete the way they have imagined.

No matter what they do, parents are often judged for their parenting style, and that makes things even harder.

Luckily, there are times when parents are praised for the methods they use, just like the mom from the video below who uses positive affirmation in order to teach her 2-year-old daughter to calm herself down.

Facebook

Shelbee Haderer of McCloud, Oklahoma, teaches daughter Brilee how to get over the tears and how to encourage herself to calm down by repeating a few adorable reminders every kid should know; “I’m okay. I’m strong. I’m beautiful. I’m loved. I’m worthy.”

In a video, which vent viral and caught the attention of a great number of people, Brilee could be seen crying because she had just accidentally smashed her little finger. But then there is her mom to remind her to use the words of encouragement, which Brilee does.

Seconds later, she’s already calmer and more composed. And everyone agrees that it’s incredible how much positive effect a few expressions of self-love can have on little children.

The video ends with the little one saying, “Thank you, mom,” and we believe that’s beyond adorable.
