Kate Middleton honors the Queen and late Princess Diana with pearl necklace she wore on Prince Philip’s funeral

Despite the differences and the heated relationship between certain members of the Royal family, they have all united in their grief after Prince Philip, The Duke of Edinburgh, passed away.

Many wondered if his beloved grandsons, Prince Harry and Prince William, would use the opportunity to fix what is obviously broken and set aside their differences.

During the funeral, which was televised and watched by over 13 million Britons, the brothers could be seen talking to one another. Apparently, their wives, Kate and Meghan, want the same for their husbands; to try to make things right.

After the funeral, Harry, William, and Kate walked together, and the Duchess of Cambridge stepped aside so that she could give the brothers the chance to be alone and engage in a conversation. This was a move many praised her for.

Catherine, who was very close to Prince Philip, appeared at the funeral wearing black and acted gracefully as always. The moment she became part of the royalty, she stole the hearts of her people, not only for being their future Queen, but for showing dignity, grace, warmth, and for being a devoted wife and a mother who is always ready to respond to her royal duties.

The photo of Catherine from the funeral was shared millions of times, not only for the way she looked, but for one special detail, her choice of necklace. The Duchess of Cambridge wore a diamond and pearl necklace that belongs to the Queen and was repeatedly worn by Princess Diana during her lifetime.

British Vogue described the choice of jewelry as a “moving tribute to both the Queen and Princess.”

Late Princess Diana wore that same necklace, which was a gift to the Queen by the nation of Japan in the 1970s, during her famous dance with actor John Travolta.

Catherine added to her stunning look with the Queen’s Bahrain Pearl Earrings which were gifted to her when she married Prince Philip.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge paid tribute to Prince Philip by sharing a photo of them and their kids with him and the Queen, writing: “I will always be grateful that my wife had so many years to get to know my grandfather and for the kindness he showed her. I will never take for granted the special memories my children will always have of their great-grandpa coming to collect them in his carriage and seeing for themselves his infectious sense of adventure as well as his mischievous sense of humor!”

Kate did an amazing job reaching out to Harry in such a sad day for the family. The image of the the brothers walking behind their grandpa’s coffin was a heartbreaking reminder of their walk on the day they said their goodbyes to their mother.
