Royal insider accuse Prince William and Kate of keeping Prince George ‘under lock & key’

Prince George is second in line to the throne, but whether he fully understands what that means for his future as a monarch is not known.

According to people close to the royal family, the Prince and Princess of Wales are doing everything they can to prepare their three children for the world that awaits them beyond the palace walls, but is that exposure enough for the public to form a connection with the young princess and princes? According to royal expert Katie Nicholl, it’s not.

While William and Kate say they are giving their children a normal childhood and allowing them to experience life outside the royal bubble, some experts question this.

“George, Charlotte and Louis are not only allowed to be playful, fun, spontaneous, and even cheeky in public, they are actively encouraged by their mum and dad, who often look at their most proud and most doting when they are doing so,” royal and body language expert Judi James told the Daily Mail in 2023.

According to her, the freedom to have fun is vital for the young royals.

“William and Kate’s parenting duties were always going to be unique as they’re inducting a prince, princess, and future king into the rules, traditions, and formalities of the royal family as well as allowing three small children to have as much fun and freedom as possible as they do so,” she said.

Prince William wants to make sure his children are aware that not everyone is fortunate as they are and that there are people out there who need help.

Despite this, Katie Nicholl argues that William and Kate keep George ‘under lock and key’ and don’t let the public “fall in love” with him while he is still young, according to Express.

“William doesn’t want George to have the same level of exposure he and Prince Harry had as kids, so it has to be done very carefully,” she told the publication. “[Prince] William has the sense to know that the public needs to fall in love with George as a youngster.”

She continued: “He has to have a presence, and he can’t be kept under lock and key and only introduced when he’s 18.”

While Prince George did make several public appearances, including attending Trooping the Colour, the Christmas Day walkabout, and the Easter Sunday Service, alongside his siblings, experts like Nicholl argue it’s not enough exposure.
