My neighbor egged my car because it was ‘blocking the view’ of his Halloween decorations

So, last Halloween, I walked outside to find my car covered in eggs. I thought it was a prank at first, but then I noticed the egg splatters reached my neighbor Brad's sidewalk. Suspicious, I confronted him. His response? “Your car’s blocking the view of my Halloween decorations.”

Marry, a sleep-deprived single mom of twins who struggled to have everything done for the day while taking care of her babies, noticed her car was egged. Thinking it was a prank the children from the neighborhood played on her, she was a bit angry because it meant spending money and time on cleaning it.

However, as she was looking at the car, she noticed some eggshells in the yard of her neighbor Brad. At that moment, she figured out it was him who “bombarded” her vehicle with eggs.

When she confronted him, Brad said he was the one who did it because the car was blocking the view from his Halloween decorations that he took pride in. Being the neighborhood enthusiast about the holiday, he always made sure his house was the most decorated one, spending a bunch of time and money on it.

When Marry explained that she parked the car close because she had to carry her twins, their strollers, and bags multiple times a day, Brad was indifferent and said he didn’t care.

Being too tired to argue, Marry decided to let it go and headed home. But then, she came up with the perfect “revenge.”

Knowing how obsessed Brad was with Halloween, she decided to suggest he take the decorations to a new level, offering some websites selling high-tech fog machines and ghost projectors. Brad was excited with the idea, not knowing that Marry led him to get one-star review products that were notorious for breaking down easily and tended to be faulty.

The next thing Marry did was wait for a Halloween disaster to take place.

When the night of the holiday finally arrived, Brad was over the moon. Everyone was enchanted with his decorations, especially the fog machine and the spooky ghost projections.

However, half-way through the night, the machine Brad purchased from the unreliable brands Marry suggested started malfunctioning. The fog machine started spraying water instead of mist and the ghost projector messed up with the images it showed. This made the kids laugh at Brad, who was totally disappointed in how the night he was looking forward to turned out.

On top of everything, his massive inflatable Frankenstein deflated and some of the children started throwing eggs at his house.

What was supposed to be a spectacle to remember turned into a total chaos.

The following morning, sad and defeated, Brad knocked on Marry’s door. He looked totally deflated, just like his Frankenstein decoration.

When Marry asked him what he wanted, he said he needed to apologize for throwing eggs on her car, admitting he overreacted.

Marry accepted his apology and mumbled that “things have a way of balancing out.”

She almost fell sorry for her neighbor, but she was glad he learned his lesson.
