My daughter found a picture in her dad’s suitcase – It made me faint

My husband was finally getting home after the long business trip, and I was looking forward to a nice family dinner. The entire house smelled of homecooked food, the table was all set, and the coziness of our lovely home only added to the beauty of that evening – which soon turned into a nightmare.

“Honey, I’m home,” Jack yelled from the front door. And before I could get downstairs, our 5-year-old daughter was already all over her dad’s suitcase, looking for “tiny” treasures and asking “Dad, what did you get me?”

Jack was too exhausted to be able to play with Emma, who couldn’t stop bouncing around her dad’s suitcase in excitement.

And then, she came running to me. “Mom, look what I’ve found.”

I was oblivious of the tiny pictures she had in her tiny hand, but when I took a closer look I realized it was an ultrasound. The initials written on the bottom didn’t ring a bell.

When I turned it around, I almost fainted. “Hi Daddy, I’m coming soon. —T ❤️,” were the words written on it.

Never in a million years did I suspect Jack could be having an affair. He has always been so loving, caring, and thoughtful.

My hands were shaking as I was holding the proof Emma found in her dad’s suitcase.

I wanted to confront Jack. But then, I thought it would be for the best if I made him confess everything himself, so I printed a fake picture of an ultrasound with my initials on it.

The following evening, I gave it to him. “Surprise!” I yelled, pretending to be excited about becoming a mom again.

Jack, on the other hand, was shocked.

“What’s wrong, honey?” I asked. “Aren’t you happy? We are going to have another child.”

Jack couldn’t hold it any longer. He looked at me and said, “You know everything, don’t you?”

Of course I knew, but I pretended I had no idea what he was talking about.

Jack couldn’t keep his secret any longer. As tears started rolling down his face, he said, “I don’t love her. It was a mistake,” confessing another woman was carrying his child.

And then, he said, “Maybe we can raise the babies together?”

“What BABIES, Jack?” I asked, furious. “I’m not really pregnant. I just knew you’d reveal your secret under so much pressure.”

Jack did everything to make me forgive him. But I couldn’t. All I could think of was that he was with another woman whenever he was saying he was taking business trips.

The ultrasound picture Emma found in her dad’s suitcase shattered my marriage, but it also made me realize the truth about the man I trusted so much.
