Man fulfills late grandmother’s wish to rebuild her house, discovers a hidden cellar nearby

Harry and Walter’s grandmother’s wish that she shared with them on her deathbed was the house she lived in to be renovated. That house was built by her husband, and it was very valuable to her.

Harry was always the one who was close to his grandparents, even when he grew older and started his own family. He knew how much that house meant to his grandma and made it his goal to fulfill her wish despite not having much money.

Walter on the other hand, was more into the material. He was only interested in the inheritance their grandmother left them. When Harry arrived at the lawyer’s office, Walter was already there, with a grin on his face.

He was in a hurry for the will to be read.

When the lawyer started reading it, he said that all their grandmother had left washer old house.

“What!” Walter yelled. “How could that be? What about the money, the jewelry?” he asksed.

The lawyer explained that the grandmother’s bank account was closed days before her passing, and that the house was the only thing she owned.

Walter, devastated, fled the office. Harry, on the other hand, only thought of his grandma’s wish. He was eager to restore the house, but he was tight on money, so he was forced to lend some from a wealthy friend.

It didn’t take long before the renovations started. One day, Harry was working on the land around the house when he stumbled upon a lid. He opened it and noticed stairs that led underground. Curious, he went inside and realized it was a cellar. There was a wooden chest with a letter placed on it.

Inside the chest were family heirlooms, pieces of jewelry, and other valuables. And the letter was addressed to Harry. It was from his grandfather.

It said that his grandpa always knew Harry would be the one to find it. That meant he was fulfilling his grandmother’s wish.

There were also instructions to take the letter to the lawyer’s office.

Harry did what the letter said, and the moment he entered the lawyer’s office, he said, “Harry, your grandpa knew you would be the one to bring this letter to me. You always took great care of him and your grandmother.”

The lawyer said that he would transfer ownership of a bank account under his grandpa’s name to Harry. He received $300,000, money that would go to charity if none of the grandsons decided to renovate the old house.

After learning that, Harry still decided to donate a portion of the money to charity, in his grandfather and grandmother’s honor.

With the rest of the money, he finished the house, repaid his debts, and started a business together with his wife.
