Man files for divorce with wife over having five daughters

Anne’s marriage to Matthew was supposed to resemble a fairytale – the two were high school sweethearts who loved each other endlessly, so why wouldn’t it?

However, after the birth of their twin daughters, Matthew brought up Anne’s inability to give him a son. So, they tried again, and again, and again, eventually welcoming five daughters together.

While Anne never cared about their children’s gender, Matthew did. He was mad he didn’t have a son and became a completely different person.

He blamed Anne for giving birth to girls only and eventually filed for divorce over having five daughters.

However, he refused to leave the family home. So even though they were legally separated, they still lived under one roof.

But Matthew didn’t have any contact with Anne or the girls. He simply pretended as though they didn’t exist. As expected, the girls were heartbroken. They lacked father’s love, especially because they shared the same home, yet he was distant beyond belief.

What’s most, Matthew acted as a bachelor. He was out every night, drinking and partying. The last straw was when he brought another woman into the house.

Anne knew her girls should witness their dad being with someone else in front of their own eyes while he avoided every contact with them.

Anne decided to stay at her parents until she found a place to stay. The worst thing of all was that the house was given to her after the divorce, but she didn’t have the strength to fight with her ex-husband, who refused to leave the place.

One day, she met an old friend, Harry, who used to have a crush on her. They had coffee together and started dating eventually. It didn’t take long before Harry proposed. He became a father figure Anne’s daughter’s never had.

Harry couldn’t believe someone could divorce his wife over having five daughters.

Anne started her life over. She even took the house back from Matthew and gave birth to Harry’s son, Alen. And then, one day, years after she and Matthew separated, she met him at the mall.

It was her son, Alen, who run towards him to grab some of the pretzel samples he was offering.

When Anne saw him, she was completely shocked. Matthew used to have an office job that earned him a lot of money. Why would he be offering pretzel samples at the mall.

She approached him.

Looking right at Alan, Matthew asked, “Is this your son?”

“Yes, he is, that’s Alan,” Anne replied. “He’s Harry’s son.”

It was obvious Matthew regretted his life decisions. He explained that he had lost his high-paying job due to his reckless lifestyle. What’s most, he was struggling financially and asked from Anne to sell the house they once lived in and give him his share. The truth was that the court gave that house to Anne, and it was rented at the time.

“I’ll think about it,” she said and walked away.

Matthew asked to see the girls, and Anne said she would tell them that, but it was up to them to make that decision.

Some time passed by, and Anne decided to sell the house. She gave Matthew what he believed was his share. The girls didn’t want to have anything with him, and now that the house was gone, there was nothing that tied them together anymore.
