Although it hasn’t been officially confirmed yet, it is alleged that King Charles is planning a historic visit to the US next spring to mark the country’s 250th anniversary despite his ongoing battle with cancer.
Sources from both Washington D.C. and London state that “the plans being negotiated include a visit to the White House,” if King Charles’ health allows him to travel, the Mirror reports.
As part of the upcoming 250th anniversary of the United States, Trump’s administration is organizing multiple commemorative events, with the royal visit set to be a major highlight ahead of the July 4 Independence Day celebrations. According to The Sun, Trump plans the visit to be a “lavish State visit.”

The potential visit is set to take place months after King Charles welcomed Trump and First Lady Melania in Britain as part of an official state visit which begun with a tour of Windsor on September 17. The president and his wife were greeted by the Prince and Princess of Wales before taking in a flypast and inspecting the guards with the King.
Trump said that being invited for a second state visit was the “highest honour” of his life, referring to his official visit in 2019 when he was hosted by late Queen Elizabeth II. He added jokingly that he hopes it will be the “last” time he is hosted for the official tour.
He also reflected on the bond between the United States and the United Kingdom, noting that the phrase ‘special relationship’ “does not begin to do it justice.” Trump spoke about the deep cultural ties the two countries share, including their language, traditions, and ancestry, Metro reported.

When it comes to King Charles, he’s being going through a lot recently, including his battle with cancer, for which he’s still receiving treatment, and the latest controversy surrounding his brother, Prince Andrew, who has been stripped from his of all his royal titles in connection to the the many accusations against him in relation to late convicted sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.
In September, during a visit to a Birmingham hospital, King Charles gave a brief update on his health while speaking with cancer patient Jacqueline Page. When Page joked that she was “wearing out,” the King replied, “I know, this is the terrible thing, as I am discovering already. The bits don’t work so well when you get past 70.”
During the same hospital tour, the king also spoke with 73-year-old patient Matthew Shinda, who asked how he was feeling. The King answered, “I’m not too bad.” When Shinda shared, “I have the same disease. It’s prostate,” Charles replied, “Half the problem is detecting it, isn’t it, in time,” and added, “the great thing I think is they’re getting better and better at dealing with these things. The trouble is there’s always hope down the road. I am sorry about that; it’s so frustrating.”
