Karoline Leavitt, the youngest person who has ever served the role of a White House Press Secretary, gave fans a rather rare look into her emotional world this weekend, posting Instagram stories that shifted from carefree beach views to unexpectedly raw moments.
At just 28, Levitt has been under constant pressure, even facing a fresh round of mockery on Saturday Night Live, and her posts made many wonder if she’s finally feeling the strain.
First, she posted cheerful moments from Palm Beach, including a coastal drive captioned “the ocean is my happy place.” She then shared a breakfast photo from the Four Seasons, writing “Favorite breakfast spot with my hubs” over a bowl of granola, fruit, bacon and an egg bagel with her husband, real estate developer Nicholas Riccio.

Later, she highlighted the Bible verse “For when I am weak, then I am strong,” then added another quote about motherhood: “What a privilege it is to have your bed taken up by a small human who thinks it’s the safest place in the world to be,” with “crying” written above it.
Although she didn’t provide any explanation behind her posts, her followers agree they were quite emotional, and experts believe her job took a toll on her emotional and mental state.
Speaking to The Mirror, Clinical Psychologist Christine Schneider said, “Working as a Press Secretary means living under constant pressure. Every word, every facial expression, and every pause is dissected by the media and the public.
“That level of exposure can be incredibly demanding mentally.”

“Someone in Karoline Leavitt’s position likely faces chronic stress, anxiety around public performance, and exhaustion from the nonstop pace of her role.
“There’s often a need to stay composed no matter what’s happening behind the scenes, and that emotional control, while impressive, can come at a cost.”
She added: “It’s what psychologists sometimes refer to as emotional labor: the effort of managing one’s feelings to maintain a professional image.
“Over time, it can lead to burnout, irritability, and difficulty switching off after work.”

Given the nonstop demands of serving as Donald Trump’s press secretary, it doesn’t come as a surprise that Levitt could be feeling the weight of her job.
