For three decades, this bear was confined in a cage – Now look her reaction when the gate finally opens

We are sure how most of us have fond memories of going to the zoo when we were young. The anticipation of actually seeing wild beasts that we had only learned about from the books was an incredible experience. The orangutans waving back and imitating our moves, or the big and gorgeous elephants waiting for the visitors to feed them a peanut or two sounded like a fairy tale.

But once we got older, we realized that this fun time for us humans is pain and misery for all those creatures taken from their natural habitat and placed behind bars for the sake of making money.

Some argue how by keeping them in the zoos, we help animals’ preservation. We say that if we really want for them to be alive in the years to come, we have to find ways of protecting them while still in the wild.

Fifi, a lovely bear, was caged for 30 years. She was brought to the Pennsylvania Zoo when she was still a cub and was forced to spend years of her life entertaining the crowds.

Just like in the circus, Fifi performed tricks for the visitors and lived under horrific conditions.

Luckily, after years of misery and neglect, animal rights organization People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), came to Fifi’s rescue.

When they first saw the poor animal, she didn’t even resemble a bear. Among the rest, Fifi had arthritis she wasn’t treated for.

In no time, PETA transported Fifi to the The Wild Animal Sanctuary in Colorado, where she received the much needed medical treatment.

Fifi now lives the life she has always deserved, away from the humans who caused her pain.

No animal deserves to be caged.
