Kate Middleton, the beloved Princess of Wales, revealed in January 2025 that she was in remission.
Since her cancer prevented her from performing her royal duties, now that she is feeling better, her people are hoping to see more of her when it comes to public outings.
In recent months, Kate has visited several hospital where he met with cancer patients.
Following one of those visits, she opened up of the difficult time that comes after being declared cancer-free.
“You put on a sort of brave face, stoicism through treatment. Treatment’s done, then it’s like, ‘I can crack on, get back to normal,’ but actually, the phase afterwards is really, really difficult,” Kate Middleton told People.

“You’re not necessarily under the clinical team any longer, but you’re not able to function normally at home as you perhaps once used to. And actually, someone to help talk you through that, show you and guide you through that sort of phase that comes after treatment, I think is really valuable.”
She added: “You have to find your new normal and that takes time…and it’s a rollercoaster, it’s not smooth, like you expect it to be.
“But the reality is you go through hard times.”
Most recently, the princess visited Colchester Hospital in Essex and spent time in the award-winning Colchester Wellbeing Garden.
The garden is the result of a joint initiative with NHS staff, providing both staff and patients with a place to relax.

The designer behind the project, Adam Frost, praised Kate after her visit.
“You can tell she truly understands the power of nature and what we’re trying to achieve as gardeners,” he told the garden charity RHS. “When the Princess of Wales kneels down with her hands in the soil without hesitation, you know she really gets it.”
Kate joined a team of garden volunteers to plant “Catherine’s Rose,” a rose named in her honor by the RHS.
The funds raised from the sell of the flowers benefit the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. Additionally, 500 more plants will be gifted to community gardens across the UK this summer.
“Most of her focus was on the people she met and the conversations she’d had,” Adam Frost said of Kate. “She then shared her thoughts about the garden based on what she had just heard, which is really rewarding to hear – it’s amazing how well it’s been received.”
“I could tell she wanted to plant more. She’d definitely make a great gardening buddy,” he said, jokingly.

What everyone agreed on was that the outfit Kate Middleton chose for the occasion was spot on.
“The Princess of Wales is a ‘dream come true.’ Her manner of promoting importance causes in attire to fit each occasion is HER master class,” one user wrote.
A second fan added: “I love Catherine’s blazer style! This combo knocks my socks off!”
A third stated, “The Princess is so elegant and classy even while sporting a casual fashion look! Simply unequalled!” while a fourth said, “Her outfit is a superb choice. Smart to roll up the cuffs on the flattering striped shirt.”
Another person wrote: “I really like her clothing, sporty but elegant at the same time, the Princess has an innate elegance.” Another added: “Gorgeous. The POW looks radiant. Great look; the beige jacket is enhanced by the dark brown trousers & the darker beige striped shirt. It’s easy to get lost in an all beige ensemble. Yes, ladies, we can wear trainers & still look polished and chic.”
