According to this 80-year-old Democratic strategist, Trump’s support has gone from low 50s to upper 30s in no time. Carville argues that key Republican allies might jump ship if the economy falters under recent cost-cutting moves by Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). From Carville’s perspective, Democrats can simply step aside and watch, since Carville says Trump’s White House will collapse like a house of cards once moderate Republicans grow uneasy.

On his Truth Social platform, Trump blasted Carville as a “loser” who can’t wrap his head around the president’s supposed “best polling numbers.” Still, Carville doubled down, telling media outlets that the administration’s in free fall and it won’t take more than a month to hit rock bottom.
