I married my dad’s friend – You won’t believe what happened on our wedding night

Finding love was never easy for Amber who has been involved in several failed relationships over the years. But just as she quit on searching for ‘the one,’ someone special entered her life.

It was during a BBQ her dad had organized that she met one of his friends, Steve.

Steve was 10 years older than her, but she immediately felt connection to him and felt warmth that she had never felt around any other man before.

It wasn’t long before they started dating, and Amber’s dad was thrilled by the thought of her being with someone like Steve, a compassionate man who deeply cared about those around him.

Six months into their relationship, Steve proposed.

Their wedding resembled a fairytale. Everything about that day was perfect; the venue, the menu, her gown. But what made her truly happy was the thought of saying “I do” to the man of her dreams. Their friends and family were there to share the special moment with them, and life felt perfect.

That night, as they settled into their new home, Amber left to change. But when she returned to the bedroom, she heard Steve talking to someone softly.

He didn’t have a phone in his hand, and Amber realized he was talking to himself.

She stood by the door and overheard him mentioning the name “Stacey.” Intrigued, she approached closer and asked him who was he talking too.

With teary eyes, Steve admitted he was talking to his late daughter, Stacey, who died in a car crash years ago. But no matter the fact she was long gone, he could still feel her presence, especially during significant moment like this one.

It was obvious he was still grieving. His pain was raw and his emotions were pure. Scared, he admitted that he hadn’t shared this with Amber sooner because he thought it would push her away from him.

But Amber cared too much and could understand how he felt. Losing a child must have been the hardest things for a person to experience and she wanted to be there for him and help him overcome the grief that was settled into his heart.

She suggested they seek therapy together, and Steve agreed.

At that moment, Amber fell for Steve even more. She learned that loving someone meant accepting them with all their strengths and flaws.
