Swedish photographer and artist embraces winter with ice-cold baths

While most young people dream of living in the big cities and experience the night life these places offer, one Swedish woman, Jonna Jinton, decided to take her life to a different direction.

When she turned 21, this beautiful lady decided to leave the Swedish city of Gothenburg for a small village with only ten inhabitants located 600 miles north.

Jonna moved to Grundtjarn, into the deep forests of the country, where her grandparents used to live.

The reason for this drastic change was her dream of residing at a peaceful place where she could turn to a simple lifestyle.

Today, she shared plenty of videos of the life at the tiny place with her followers. Her blogs and nature-focused art take people’s breath away.

Jonna, who is a photographer, captures splendid images of her surrounding and photographs the spectacle and magical moments of Mother Nature – at both day and night-time.

“Nature, for me, is the most important thing I have. It’s the connection where I get all my inspiration from,” Jonna told the Swedish site Expressen.

The now 29-year-old, who has lives in this village for eight years now, shows what life looks like in the north of her homeland.

At the moment, she has 1.6 million subscribers on YouTube who enjoy her inspiring and occasionally funny clips.

In one of her clips, she talks about the cold autumns and winters and says how she is often ill because of the cold weather. She, however, believes that the cold can only make you stronger, so she challenges herself and often takes baths in a nearby lake.

The moment she enters the cold water, which looks peaceful and calm, it looks like she struggles to take breath.

“I feel a thousand times more alive when walking into ice cold water, and I can feel the blood rushing through my body, doing everything it can to keep me alive. At this moment I am completely present,” she says in the clip.

This video is something you don’t want to miss. Take a look at it below.
