Rosie Roche, Princess Diana’s uncle’s granddaughter, was found dead at her family home on July 14.
The 20-year-old cousin of Prince William and Prince Harry was found dead at the property in Norton, Wiltshire, by her mother, Pippa, and her sister, Agatha.
According to The Sun, there was a firearm next to her body.
An inquest had been opened into her death, with proceedings halted until October 25. Coroner Grant Davies revealed that police “have deemed the death as non-suspicious and there was no third-party involvement.”
He has since revealed the exact cause of death, stating that the young woman died from a gunshot wound to her head.

“Rosie was getting ready to go away with friends and was packing her belongings at home,” Davies said at the start of her inquest on Sunday, as reported by The Times.
“Philippa, her mum, and Agatha, her sister, were outside and then they returned inside the home address.
“Upon checking the office in the house, Agatha found Rosie deceased and she was slumped over a firearm with significant head trauma.
“The ambulance attended and confirmed the death at 1.22pm that day.” Coroner Davies added: “A post-mortem was carried out by Dr Harry Haynes from Great Western Hospital.” He stated that “blood and urine has been sent for toxicological analysis.”

Rosie was a first-year student at Durham University, pursuing a degree in English Literature.
Her family paid their tribute in statement. “Darling daughter of Hugh and Pippa, incredible sister to Archie and Agatha, Granddaughter to Derek and Rae Long,” it read.
Professor Wendy Powers, Principal of Durham’s University College, said Rosie, “loved for her creativity, energy, her love of books, poetry and travel among many other talents,” will be “sorely missed.”
“Our thoughts and condolences are with Rosie’s family and friends, and we are offering support to those affected at this extremely difficult time,” Professor Powers said.
